I am not normally one to introducing myself on new sites unless I’ve been there awhile (go figure), but this is just a bit different, so here goes nothing!

“Hello World!” This will be the first Ludum Dare that I have ever done. As the title states I very excited for it. For a while now I have been watching people partaking in dares and since I finally have the knowledge to create a game (within 48 hours) I will be in this one. I will be making a 2d game in Java. Now all that’s left to do is wait for the timer to run out………… just 29 days, 12 hours, and 39 minutes to go.

Super excited, less then three days left! I am going to use:

-Java

-Eclipse

-Gimp

-Some sound making thingy

Also as a side note, I was the one that submitted the theme Two Colors! Kinda excited that it made it this far.

Well then, that was an interesting 48 hours. I somehow managed to create code into something our society calls a “game.” I am surprised that I managed to come up with something (with NO forethought at all), and I like how it turned out. I am still very much a newb at the creation of games, but I have gotten more good feedback then I have expected. Well then…. that’s all…… you can leave now…………….

Hello internet, or more specifically: the Ludum Dare community. You probability don’t know who I am, but you might know what I did. I created a game for Ludum Dare 28 called: Chambers (opens in new tab). Since then I got bored. REALLY bored. So I decided to re-make chambers, except over a much longer period of time. So, I am taking in the suggestions from my entry and applying them to the new game. I don’t expect anybody to actually be reading this, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to continue production of the game. I hope it gets done before the end of the school year.

Here we go, year #2 of me doing Ludum Dare! I am pumped and excited for this year, as always, but I can’t decide what I am going to use…… hmmmmmmmmmm….

Okay, after much thought I have decided: I am going to use Unity because why not? I can use it to create a 3D/2D web game easily. So right of the bat I don’t have to worry about the engine too much and I can focus on the game play. I do have some experience with Unity but this will be a real test of my knowledge with Unity. I will probs use gimp as my image editor and one of the free sound effect creators for sound effects, and maybe garage band for the bg music. I don’t expect anything too amazing but I do expect something at least fun. Well, he we go guys, #29.

You have no idea how bummed out I am that I missed LD #30. An even 10’s LD have huge gaps in-between them, so I am going to call this:

LUDUM DARE #30 + 1!

I have no idea what I’m going to do, until I see the themes, but I know that I either using native Java, or Unity. This will be my third Dare, and I can’t wait!

I didn’t like how it turned out. I mean I don’t really have anything to say besides that. I didn’t have that much time to devote to the event; I couldn’t even play any games afterwards! However, I did enjoy the concept. As one comment said it is very “wario-ware”-ish. I will also admit that the pong game is impossible! After the game speeds up once, it becomes just about unplayable.

Can’t wait for LD #32!

I am really excited for the LD #32! So excited, in fact that I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am.* I have no real idea what I’m gonna use, but it most likely will be either java or unity, as usual for me. I might even go so far as to use LWJGL if I use java. While writing this little post I am currently watching Zero Punctuation**; a show that is giving me ideas on what to do. For those of you who know what ZP is that’s kinda of an odd thing to say. Anyways, I do hope the theme won’t be a burning pile of garbage bad***.
