It ain't much, but it's honest work

I don't think it saved last time, so here's my fish gif. Maybe it will become a game

Managed to get something done. I wanted to add a bit more to the actual gameplay, but I think it's a fun enough "arcade" experience, and can certainly be a laugh. My biggest regret is not getting the sprite to move smoothly with the turns...I had it working pretty well, except when moving in a circle at the end the fish would spin 360 degrees in the wrong direction...I'll likely work on getting that working some other time.

This is the first game jam I've done in a while, and I'm happy with what I made! It's definitely not perfect though. Were I grading this, I'd give it a C; passing, but not exceeding minimum expectations. The gameplay is fun but lacks depth, the sprite work is minimal, and the sound isn't present enough to grade. I think the fish tank idea is a fun spin on the theme, but doesn't make it a core mechanic in meaningful way.
Mostly I'm happy to have gotten something out; I've been making a lot of prototypes lately, but rarely marking something as "done", so it feels good to have something I can call complete*.
*Not that I'm never going to update it...even if a project is done, it's never truly finished.
