LD24

Let’s do this.

It seems that I’m the 38th to chose this title. Must be a good one.

So. First LD, I’ll see what I can do.

The Tools :

  • Framework : LÖVE. because of the pink.
  • Language : Lua. because of the LÖVE.
  • Editor : Emacs.
  • Graphics : GIMP probably
  • Sound : Some piano soundfont, maybe I’ll borrow my roomate’s guitar for fun. Editing with Audacity or Ardour.
  • Cake : chocolate, flour, butter (alot), sugar

Well, I can’t wait now. Have fun everyone!

Cake and sprite

I made my first sprite ever (and it took me foreveeeer to do it). It’s far from being perfect but whatever. I’m proud of it, and had fun making it.

Also, a cake. I like cakes.

Damn. That’s hard to make a game.

Obligatory “God it’s over” post

Wow, that was a long Week-End. First time I do it, and it’s quite exhausting.

The entry I saw are impressive, there is some genius hiding there…

But well, I finished my game, you can grab it http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-24/?action=preview&uid=14514.

It’s short, not much content, I didn’t manage to put texture on the ground, but well, I think it’s challenging to play.

I can’t wait to test all you’ve done.

Post-compos tweaks

Ahah, it’s hard to test a game with one tester (who’s also the coder), on one computer, on one OS. I just discovered with a friend that the slower is the computer, the faster the character falls. Totally uncool :p

So I made a small post-compo of my game ( run and transform ), correcting theses strange bugs, and taking in account some feedbacks. The game is now far easier (it’s the cool word for “playable”).

Downloads :

WindowsLinux 32 bit, Linux 64 bit, MacOS, .love file, for sources and MacOS

The .love can be opened on Mac with LÖVE (love2d.org) or renamed to .zip to get the sources.

Also, discovered the hard way that if I don’t write a comment and hit “save” on a rating, it’s not taken in account. So much lost votes :(

Have fun!

MiniLD first screenshot

We are a team of three making a not game. Here is a screenshot :

Nope, this character is not a game dev. This game is about office, zoom and space.

Have fun everyone.

MiniLD : A New World

We managed to finish our MiniLD “A New World” yesterday night. It’s a bit crazy, but we sticked to the original ideas we had, and implemented almost everything, so it’s pretty awesome. (edit : the link http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/minild-37/?action=preview&uid=14514 )

Give us some feedback :)

Also I’ve just played Ditto’s “Let nothing wear you down” and it’s very very very cool.
