I'm in!
Got a good night's sleep. Time to dev it up.

Finally!
Finally came up with an idea for the game. With only 30 hours left I've a lot to get done if I want to enter the Compo, but I'm not on too much of a constraint as I can still enter the Jam if I feel things aren't far enough along by that stage. However, I'm still setting my time management goals in accordance to the Compo!
The Idea
So, after a morning of doll house idea shenanigans and failing to come up with any substantial amount of gameplay, I decided to settle with the idea of making a 2D platformer with a Horde mode. It has potential to be a kind of Tower Defense but I don't plan on going that far with it in this Jam. Perhaps afterwards. Incorporating the theme of "A Small World", I've decided to go with making the world get smaller and smaller or adding more constraints to the already small world after each wave of enemies. This should be fun!
Progress
There was a lot of time wasted due to a case of writers block all morning, but so far I've got all my Orthographic cameras, viewports and screens laid out. Got a basic HUD set up, then I threw together a simple unfinished tileset (16x16) for the game and got it loading in! The tileset is looking kinda bleak so far but I'll spruce it up a bit later on. I don't expect the first revision to be the best revision!

The basic Hud showing round and timer until the round end.
Threw the world together in Tiled and then got it loading in!
Conclusion
Lots of work to do, excited to get as much done as I can in the next 30 hours.
