I'm super excited to try LD for the first time !!!
Hey LD community i'm new and I was hoping to stream the LD processes, but i use two monitors as well as multiple desktops when i'm programming. Anyone have any suggestions on which which window to stream or if there is software that follows the active monitor/window? even if you don't have suggestions i'd love to hear how you've done it in the past if you have
Hello all i'm going to shamelessly self promote for a moment, please forgive me.
just wanted to say i'll be streaming my first real attempt at the ludum dare full from start to finish this year. if you're interested in checking it out i'll be streaming at : https://www.twitch.tv/dryocamparubicunda
And I'm still in writers block hell and can't think of anything interesting to do with the theme. :(
Super excited to be back at it with Ludum Dare!
Really excited to be submitting something that can be considered a finished prototype for the first time!! mostly thanks to my amazing team mates!!!
Swing by and check it out if you get the chance https://lorenzolion.itch.io/the-troubled-train!
Hey all since trains often take on new passengers right up until the deadline I figured it would be fitting to post a "Last call" of sorts about testing out game The Troubled Train!
I'm hoping we can pull it together to do a small post LD build of the game that addresses common complaints and a few small bugs found along the way, so I would really appreciate any constructive or actionable feedback in these last few hours or even after rating is done!
I was really happy with how our submission went last year, and excited to be working with mostly the same team again!
Congrats to everyone, now its time to take a big sigh of relief

Even for those of us who didn't quite make it across the finish line I urge you to think about how this experience has allowed you to grow! as ludum dare comes to an end regardless of the finished product I always try to think about what new new skill I can take away from the experience. This year I dived in to customizing unity's editor, something that has in the past scared me.
But with a bullet hell being our target we needed a way to design the path for a ship to follow and the places for it to shoot at, so the custom path editor was born

Later a team mate pointed out that this could have been done with transforms rather then a new editor class and vector3's. Regardless I think the confidence to be able to create custom editors in unity will allow me to tackle much more impressive projects!
Congrats all! and if you'd like to check out our project please do https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/airborne-retribution-legacy-revelations-of-invasion-the-return-4-deluxe-gold
only a week later I finally have had time to rate some games and make a functional webgl build of our LD submission!
while we still recommend the download, you can now play it in browser check it out! https://lorenzolion.itch.io/airborne-retribution
Very excited to do LD51, after doing 50 and 49
I'm making a quick post to ask for some help passing the 20 rating finish line (currently at 17). I'll be sure to rate back and provide feedback for anyone who rates our game!
