My results! Out of 1104 Compo entries, I placed in the top 20% for everything except overall (26%) and fun (39%, due to the difficulty I assume). This being the second complete game I've ever created, I'm super proud of it and I want to thank you all again for your honest feedback!
Thanks to @pov and his little elves for getting the website going, and for running this awesome event!
Well, I had a conversation with Dr. Blackcraft and he agreed to an extended version of A Relatively Small World! This new version will still be fairly short, but will have some new mechanics, new levels, new characters, and a lot of new stuff!
As to the old stuff, I'll really spend time on the puzzles to make them a little more understandable (the old ones are pretty hard).
Thank you all for giving me feedback on my entry, and I look forward to competing again in Ludum Dare 40 (I won't be doing 39)!

This post is where members of Ludum Dare can put their suggestions (easily collected for @pov).
This post is NOT for people who want to complain about or even discuss the running of Ludum Dare, it is only for suggestions to better the site and jam.
Comment below with suggestions!
That's right, it's getting ported to real console! Don't have any pictures yet, but suffice it to say that in about 550 lines of the ugliest, most inefficient C you've ever seen  I have core gameplay mechanics implemented already (like running in circles around a planet like a moron).
And yes, it works on a real Wii (softmodded, of course).
Slight glitch in the textures...
The Wii port of A Relatively Small World is coming along very nicely. The cities are now implemented (along with the little animals), and pretty much all that's left is to implement the missions and hint text.
Also here's a GIF.
If anyone wants the current version of the port, you can find it here (source and channel wad included).
I'll be posting my work here from now on.

We, the Watchers, have taken over this Jammer's account. It has been deemed by Security as an avenue through which the Watched may be warned about his status. Activity here is moderated and sent to a static copy of the ldjam site which only he sees. Outgoing content will be reviewed and certain content redacted as it becomes available.
Current information states that the Watched will be participating in Ludum Dare 40. He hopes with all his might the theme is not a Christmas one.
For more information about the investigation into the life of the Watched, please visit this page.
Here are my theme suggestions for Ludum Dare 40. I had a lot of fun participating last time and I look forward to December 1st.
1. It Really Isn't
2. Give A Man A Fish...
3. NOT Christmas
Hopefully this time I can bump up my fun value... last time was 490/1104.
Well, the theme suggestions have been open since Friday (for me) and we still don't have an official news post announcing the start of the pre-event celebration. I understand @pov being busy but in this case, no news is not good news...
Teletype for Atom editor is really cool. I'm wondering if anyone will be using it (or have already used it) to collaborate.
Look at how well they've pulled this site together! They're are working hard and I think they deserve a big round of applause!
Even between LD38 and 39, the numbers show the improvements in the algorithms and accessibility of the site:

This is my second Ludum Dare (I had to pass on LD39). I will be using GameMaker Studio 2, Adobe Photoshop/Audition, and a Keurig coffee machine.
Check out the article here. I’d paste it here, but I’m on mobile.
EDIT: Why is the picture upside down?!?
Final round theme voting is up, so it's time to finalize my preparations for the jam! I'll be using two PCs this jam, my usual workstation, and a new PC I built just for running Adobe products (Photoshop, etc). I've configured a remote backup so I'll never lose my stuff, and I've done a little research on 2D lighting and optimization techniques in GameMaker. I think it's most certainly not safe to say: I'm ready!
So far I've had a mental breakdown, a scrapped project, a dead laptop, and various other things.
But now I've got some inspiration, as well as background music for my game.

Afternoon, mates. My name is Marty Graw, famous Australian adventurer and collector of all things valuable.
Recently my adventures in the Boulderdash Temple in Africa were turned into a game by Samusoidal (who I hope is following my request and censoring names and locations).
I was approached mid-August by an strange old man. Rich, well-dressed, but strange. He wouldn't stop speaking in pig latin. Luckily I had my bachelor's degree in dead or useless languages.
At any rate, this man told me that there were untold treasures to be had, if only he were able to move as spryly as he could in his youth. Being the ~~greedy~~ collector that I am, I naturally volunteered to help, for an extremely large (yet fair) commission.
If you've seen Indiana Jones, you know what comes next.
Play me running away from the boulder in The Adventures of Marty Graw.
See how much gold you can collect in The Adventures of Marty Graw! I'm at about 9 ratings, so far, let's go all the way!
Almost there! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-adventures-of-marty-graw
I'll be doing a post-mortem over the weekend, as well as returning some of the ratings I've gotten.
