Ready to rock!

This is my second Ludum Dare ^^
I am going to use:

  • Windows XP SP3, with 1GB of RAM and 55GB of Hard Disc
  • Game Maker 8 for the game itself and some sprites
  • The GIMP for more complex graphics
  • Anvil Studio and Audacity for music and audio

I think I can do a better game than the last time. Good luck to everybody 😀

Good luck!

What I have right now

I’m working with Game Maker 8 and I have done:

  • Main Menu
  • Level Selecting Menu
  • A save system for the game
  • Platforms engine

The graphic style will be “retro”, with 200% zoom, as many recent flash games.

I hope I’ll post an image soon, good luck!

I’m using 4x zoom on both sides, so, 16x zoom!

Progress at Sunday morning

My game for LD17

My todo list:

  • Make some more sprites for the character: dead for example
  • Make some more enemies
  • Improve graphics
  • Maybe, make some more elements to add variety to the game, a health kit for example, or water
  • Make the music and some sfx
  • Make all the levels
  • The pause menu

I had only a few hours yesterday, but I’ve done the save/load system, the level select, platform engine, the game HUD… And I don’t have any idea for the name yet!!

Great!! For the name… you can try “The jellyfish killer” =P

I’m finished!!

Hoooraaay!

I though I would never end… but my game, Island Assault, is finished.

A platformer with a pirate, treasures, coins, jellyfishes, extrange flying balls… and contradictions to physic laws.

Hope you like it 😀

See you in the next Ludum Dare!

Getting ready to ‘Escape’

This is my… third Ludum Dare, I think. I’m gonna use Game Maker again, but this time I’m not going to do a platformer (I promised last time).

I’ll try to make it simple and fun. Good luck everybody!

Yay, finished

I finished, it’s called ‘Bloppo: the great escape’. It’s a cute game, I think, but I’ve broken a bit my promise of not making a platformer. See for yourself.

Also, this time the BGMs are better and I recorded guitar tracks instead of leaving all the work to the computer.

So that. I’m done. Good luck everybody!
