LD23

LD23, the first but not the last :)

This is my first Ludum Dare, i hope to enjoy  it as much as you do.

I asked on irc and have all tools ready, but they suggested me to make a post talking about myself and my tools. Ill use java with netbeans, lwjgl as graphics & sound system, stick library for texture & font, and as i plan to use applet ill use the lwjgl AppletLoader to avoid the sign problem.

For generate content ill use sfxr project to create sounds, photoshop for 2D graphics and wings3d for 3D if neccesary (i hope not).

During event ill use git for code control and release the final version.

I think thats all, good luck everyone, 2h 16h :)

Oh, thank you for the info, but im going to use the Original lwjgl AppletLoader. Since the lwjgl need the applet to be signed, cant afford to use custom applet loaders.

LD24

Im in too

Hello.

Last ludum dare was a bit tough for me, and did some mistakes that i will not make this time.

Good luck everyone. And lets rock and roll!!!!!!

LD26

LD26

Hello!!!

A new ludum dare is comming, and this time i dont want to make the same mistakes again. So, im imposing myself with some rules:

1) No new games. Ill work with this 3 basic games as basics……tetris, snake and arkanoid. Ill have to adapt the selected theme to one of them as the pilar of my project.

2) My project, my graphics. Last time i took some graphics for inet thinking into change them before release, but time line came and i screw it myself……..not again!!!

3) The main target is to finish the project, and it must be done before time line…..instead of time line setting the end of the project :(

4) Secundary target is to get something funny. Pretty = Better, Complex (can be) = Exciting, but Funny = Satisfaction.

Good luck everyone!!!!!

P.D: Oh, before i leave, ill use Java, stand alone and applet. Photoshop for graphics and sfx for sound (if have time :D)

I find choosing what you want to make beforehand to be outside the spirit of the Ludum Dare. I feel that it is to make a game, not implement a game. But still, there’s nothing against it in the rules as far as I can see. Oh well.

LD27

LD27, here i came

Hello. Here i am, once again :)

I dont know what happend this time, but look those theme scores!!!! You ppl are really strange.

Either way, tomorrow the show start and i need to be ready. My tools, as usual, java7 on eclipse using lwjgl and probably stick, photoshop for graphics and sfxr/bfxr for music.

Also, this time ill use applet on dropbox for easy play (welcome linux+os :)). So, beside my code ill add some lwjgl + native signed jars that you can download on lwjgl official page.

Good luck everyone, and remember…..LD27 is for fun, eat every 6 hours, relax every 2 hours and sleep at least 6 hours a day. Healthy mind = healthy code 😉

My progress

Hello. My update is not so big, but its comming ahead. After a couple hours stuck on applet dont loading resources…this is what i got. Still have a couple hours today, and all day tomorrow, ill have time to finish it, luckily 😀
