Thanks!
Got to the 20 votes objective! But why stop here? Enjoy the 2 full level of this top-down shooter ;) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/spacequest

Last chance to try my entry for this ludum dare!
(totally not true, I will leave the game here indefinitely ;), actually you may want to try my entry for the last LD jam, it was probably better than this one :D )

First of all I would like to compliment to everyone, for being able to make and publish a complete game in such a short time span!
For this edition I tried to break the top 100th barrier and... I managed to!

I was very surprised and proud of myself. Looks like that the overall "enjoyability" of my game was the best score, probably driven by a fun gameplay and a good looking graphic. Unbelievably, also the theme adherence didn't score so much, even thou I sincerely hated this theme :D
Also, I'm very happy on how my scoring is overall improving (slowly) from one LD to the next :)

Again: Good Job everyone! And I hope to see you all in the next Ludum Dare!
Sixth Ludum Dare for me.
Very excited, especially 'cause I missed the last two.
I will rely on my standard tools:
Unity, Blender, Gimp, bfxr, cgmusic
Good luck to everyone and have fun!
Almost nine hours of sleep. Now some grocery shopping and then I can finally start. Not my favourite theme, but it could have been worse.
For now I am settled with a top-down shooter where the player have to escape from the "loop industries"
Welcome to the loop industries, the most reliable miniature-hadron-collider for your home.
No risks associated!

Too short, but still complete :) Have fun and feedbacks are more than welcome!

Here are my three humanoid characters: from left to right: The Boss, The Secretary and Jim (the player)

Soon also the non-humanoids ;)
if you feel like, come to follow their (short) story:

It is indeed a short ride, but this time I tried to invest more in the polish and less in the quantity ;)
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/loop-industries

After failing one of the previous LD due to not being able to manage the scope, I decided to aim to something very small, but more polished (to the limit of my poor capabilities).
However, I have the feeling I still failed in delivering a nice and polished game. The lightning is not having the feeling I envisioned and the movement is still not natural enough (more feedbacks are always welcome: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/loop-industries ).
What do you think about quality/quantity issue? Better trying to forge a longer gaming experience or better a shorter with more details?

Hi everyone!
A short self-promotion of my short game :)
For this run I invested a bit more time in modelling and trying to improve the general atmosphere.
Have fun!

Hey everyone! I was checking the analytics from itch.io for my entry and I realized that there were 40 downloads, versus 34 votes.
I suppose I am not the only one downloading a bunch of games to try all of them and then losing the page of the entry and never finding it again :D
Thanks to everyone who found time to play, rate and give feedbacks (which, I have to say, this time were pretty consistent: the movement solution for the main character was definitely not appreciated and should be switched from a keyboard only to a mouse and keyboard)

I would like to everyone who gave more rating than the ones they have got. Rating the games is an important part of Ludum Dare and a lot of games end up not having enough ratings to even be included in the final scoring :(
To the ones asking for more rate while have given very few, I would suggest to drop a line or two in the post where you ask for rating, explaining why you were not able to rate more yourself. A busy period happens to everyone and I would not mind giving rate also to who didn't have time for rating, but this should be kept to the minimum, since I am sure that almost everyone had time to rate 20 game jam games in two weeks ;-)
Said so, A BIG THANKS to everyone who invested his/her time in reviewing, rating and giving feedbacks!
With a few hours of delay, I woke up and I am ready to begin this!
Unfortunately all the ideas that came to my mind are NSFW 😂
Hey! Anyone willing to quick beta-test? My girlfriend tried it, but she is not a gamer and I do not really trust her

Just some random thoughts about this edition:
PROS:
I did not instantly hate the theme from minute 1, like in the last four jams I joined in
I finally did a game genre that I never tried before
For once, I started with a very simple game loop and managed to expand it using the spare time instead of rushing to the end
CONS:
Less humour that what I would have liked
Less innovation that what I would have liked
Deep feel of shame, looking at the gorgeous work others have done xD
This said, here's the result of this fun compo:

Hi everyone! This was my very first basic miner game :)
I have the feeling I should have put more effort on the graphics, but overall I am quite happy with the results!
Any feedback will be welcome!

For the first time in a while, I managed to complete a game within the timeframe :)
It feels so good!

Hi Everyone!
Here's some auto-promotion =)
For once I knew what to do from the first moment and, I have to say, the theme actually inspired me.
I hope you will also enjoy!
