My first Ludum Dare experience :) Blender/unity/gimp/bfsx/bosca-ceoil. I should have everything to start! So excited!

A bit in advance and there are so many things I could be doing to make it better... But I am really so tired! I didn't think that a game jam would have being so intense :)
If you want to try it: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/back-home-1
PS: is it normal that I can't see it in the Ludum Dare games section?

First game jam ever :) ( https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/back-home-1 ) I suppose it's not so bad! I really enjoyed it and I will totally participate also to the next one, hoping to be able to do something better.
Final results Overall: 318th (3.344 average from 34 ratings) Fun: 353rd (3.125 average from 34 ratings) Innovation: 363rd (3 average from 34 ratings) Theme: 508th (3.125 average from 34 ratings) Graphics: 181st (3.656 average from 34 ratings) Audio: 278th (2.969 average from 34 ratings) Humor: 191st (2.833 average from 32 ratings) Mood: 340th (2.931 average from 31 ratings)
This has been a tough Ludum Dare for me. The first one I participated (last one), I made a very simple and small game. This time I though I could do something more. I spend the entire first day modelling the scenario and implementing some simple mechanics. Being a molecular biologist didn't help, since I had do dedicate some time to go to the lab and taking care of my cell coltures.
The second day was very full, with 12 hours of almost non-stop working.
All in all I'm pretty satisfied with what came out of it. The music is still not good enough, but I'm happy with the graphics and with the polish of the game.

For this edition I focused on graphics :) I also got sick during the weekend, but I managed to deliver something. If you're into shit job theme and if you would like to fly to the Bahamas, you will have to try this!
I have to confess that the main character of my game doesn't have a face. Maybe it's because of that that all those zombies are trying to kill him/her. You're basically buying a ticket for the Bahamas to a weird alien-like monster ;)
Come and be the 20th person to vote my game (and be my hero): https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-gravedigger

Really thanks for playing and leaving feedback :) This year I went for compo and it was ludicrously hard to complete a whole game in a way that it looked like a game... And do that trying to live my normal week-end life (AKA: go to the lab and take care of my cell lines). For my second ludum dare I went for something with a story (short and super simple, but still a story). I hope you will enjoy! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-gravedigger

Third entry for me. As a complete amateur, I hope I will be able to craft something enjoyable :)
My build is: Unity, Blender, Gimp, Inkscape, Bfxr and Bosca ceoil
If I have enough time I would like to focus on telling a story.
As usual, I really really really hate this theme :D I wanted to go for a story-driven game, but now I might have to reconsider it and go for a racing-battle arena-children game instead...
Yaaaay! Joining the next DL! Can't wait for it! Also, I could use some technical info: is randomly generated music ok for the compo? Like the one on this website: https://www.fakemusicgenerator.com/
This was a fun experience :) For the first time I finished at a decent time.
This is Just to do some self promotion and to encourage people to try the results of my efforts :D
For this Jam, I wanted to try something new, so I did my first platform! The controls could definitely be more responsive, but overall I was quite satisfied of the final results.

Is the big arrow on the left hard to spot?

Hey everyone! Since the voting round is still going on, why don't take your chance to try Samurai's legacy? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/samurais-legacy
It was even featured on a youtube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-epgKaAyrI )... I'm feeling so important right now! ;)
Hey everyone! I'm super happy with the last Ludum Dare event. I managed to deliver a decent game, without stressing too much. There was much to improve, but overall I'm pretty proud of myself :) My personal goal was to break the 100th position goal and achieving the 104th made me happy enough (especially looking at my previous 318th and 324th positions).
Overall: 104th (3.733 average from 47 ratings) Fun: 150th (3.522 average from 47 ratings) Innovation: 191st (3.333 average from 47 ratings) Theme: 25th (4.222 average from 47 ratings) Graphics: 89th (3.878 average from 47 ratings) Audio: 76th (3.625 average from 46 ratings) Humor: 351st (2.202 average from 44 ratings) Mood: 120th (3.533 average from 47 ratings)
Since I like statistics, here's a graph summarising my LD participations:

What I like: The overall score is improving, slowly but steadily.
I should also add more humour to my games :)
very excited too
This theme is probably one of the worst for me, since it also add the "downgrade" feeling, when you pay with your life. Oh well.. Life give you lemon? Make a LD game.

This time it was tough.
I din't really managed well the scope, but in the end something came out :)
Next time I will have to be careful in trying to do something smaller and better polished.

(sorry for the inconvenience)
