Hiding in the darkness
My idea for my entry is that you’re a mastermind who has just sucessfully kidnapped the boy king. Which was a great plan. Except that now there are horsemen and goats (and maybe a HERO) searching the darkness for you. Do not get too close to the wandering searchers, or they will take you out. You have no physical defenses beyond sneaking and hiding (you’re a mastermind after all, not a soldier).
I’ve made pretty good progress so far. The game is playable and I’ve even got some really hobo graphics I scratched out myself. I decided to do this one using Functional Reactive Programming with Elerea in Haskell. I’ve been a Haskeller for over a year now, but had not really got into the whole FRP space yet, so this seemed like a good reason to do so, and I think it has worked out pretty well so far.
Progress, (and code if you want to play with stuff) on Github.
