Participating in Ludum Dare with no experience was certainly interesting!
Both my co-designer and I have little to no experience working on games or with Unity. So when @miej poked me on Tuesday asking me to join him for LD48 that Friday, I didn't really take him seriously. Fast forward a week, and we had somehow managed to pull together a relatively complete (all things considered!) submission that I think worked quite well!
It certainly feels like we spent about as much time debating a concept as we spent just getting our first runnable build together (that is to say: both took quite a long time--I think our theme discussion was just under 4 hours of brainstorming, and our first runnable build with no level wasn't until nearly 24 hours later after several hours of tutorials)
Here's a screenshot of approximately where we were after almost exactly 24 hours (I pulled this from our chat at 5:54 PM on Saturday):

It certainly felt to me like we were going to struggle getting anything together to submit, let alone be worth playing... but we certainly seem to have gotten something fun and funny to play!

And of course, if you haven't played it yet, you should totally CHECK IT OUT HERE!!
