Deepest Mine - Strategy game - WebGL/Windows

You play as colony of dwarves deep down underground. Recruit fellow dwarves, gather resources, build your base and prepare for defence, because you are not the only one in those caves

It was my first solo game jam (and also first Ludum Dare jam), so I didn't managed to complete all what I wanted to implement in this game for 48 hours, but the basic mechanics are there. Seems like choosing strategy game with a lot of mechanics was not a good idea for the first jam, but it was fun anyway.

The game still raw and unpolished, there is no rect selection for units, no hotkeys, so it is more like strategy games of the past (like first Warcraft and Dune 2).

I plan to fix bugs, add animations for units, hotkeys and controls, add more buildings and motivation to expand deeper, rebalance enemies and improve pathfinding and many more in the future, so stay tuned and wait for updates on itch.io page. Also I wanted to make infinite level generation from the start, but I didn't had enough time and it's still under question.

DeepestMine post-jam update!

Hello, everyone! I really enjoyed participating in LD48 and I liked many of your games. Also, it was my first Compo try and my first try into RTS games. So, what I've made on this game jam was really raw and unpolished. Now I made many improvements into my game to make it more fun to play.

Changelog:

  • Controls update. Move your camera with arrows, speed up with Shift key and jump to your selected unit with Space.
  • UI update!
  • Multiple unit selection! You can try it with holding your shift key or with new unit box selection (just hold your LMB and draw a rectangle around them)
  • Advanced unit control - Attack, Move, Hold position and Stop orders are available via UI buttons. Also, with hotkeys ('A', 'M', 'H' and 'S' respectively)
  • Medical building, which heals your dwarves around it.
  • Population limit mechanic instead of increasing cost of dwarves. Build additional power plants to increase your unit limit. Now it should be easier to play.
  • And many more minor improvements...

There are still some pathfinding issues, no tutorial, and more things to fix. Also, I have huge plans how to improve this game, so stay tuned and check my itch.io page from time to time, if you are interested!

Stealth action game about harvesting blood as a vampire

My second LDJam entry. I don't usually do game jams in teams, but this one was fantastic! It was a fun experience and I'm looking forward towards working with them once again. We hadn't enough time to do everything we've planned and there is only one crappy level, yet I will be glad, if you try it:

Into The Depths post jam update!

Since the rating period is finally over, I've uploaded a new post-jam version of the game! There is not much of a new content, but many changes to the game's balance and UI. Give it a try, even if you haven't played the original version!

Per turn income in the UI

Now you can see how resources will change after the end of the turn. Also, there are small tooltips with the explanation of what the resource is used for.

Balance changes

  • Increased initial food consumption (-1 -> -2)
  • Added passive production income (+1 per turn)
  • Tweaked food rewards for some buildings (Farm, Well, Water Mill)
  • Houses now give gold each turn after constructing
  • Decreased production rewards for certain buildings (House, Forge)
  • Forge now gives production per turn
  • Warehouse no longer gives production. Instead, it has increased gems reward.
  • Increased required gold for levels 2 and 3

There are also some bugfixes and minor UI changes :)
