That you start with a clear idea how the project will be written, each class with its own responsibility..
to end up in something like this:

?
Thoughts?
After 17 hours [https://youtu.be/pCZK_UXKecg] in ludum dare challenge and 148 hours in my life doing game development and 9 more to go! :)
With a zero knowledge from gamedevelopment I decided at october 2019 that I am going to participate in ludum dare 2020 and my path is done! It took me 155 hours of learning, programming to get from zero knowledge to this: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/dicelem-rise-of-the-golem-v0-9-0-demoversion.
I tried few games of yours and have to say I am amazed what you are capable to do in 48 hours (mainly playing compo so far, since I can empathize more with the dev).
Guess I will spend next few evenings by playing your games.
Thanks!
After a feedback about game being to hars hfor the newcomers and quick to observe the consequences of action a prepared I video so you can stop and watch what is going on:

:v:

It was my first LD and I fell in love. :)
Hope it is good and usable:
@ All keys have its purpose; @ Longer combination of keys bring more rewarding results @ You can use each key only once
btw: why is it so hard to publish something?:D
Because it is some time since I was programming game for the last time I had to open some old projects to check how I did things back then.., and then the feelings of good old days of getting familiar with unity, making things moving and being just happy for that hitted me pretty hard. :)
So... My second ludumdare is coming to its end. First time it was compo and I really sat here for 48 hours. This time I invited my partner and she was doing graphics while learning inkscape and I was programming and it was somehow more smooth, without stress and so on.
I invite you to try our little game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/whilefox sadly it is only tutorial because we did not spend much time on it. But since some other art was created and I really liked the idea behind you can stay tuned for some insane levels and actions in future.
If you will leave any game in the comment which is playable in browser I am going to play it. If you will feedback, I can give you my honest one back. No kindess involved. :hatched_chick:
Well, I have never finished more the beta version of the game, but I am in again.
Fixed after feedback:

In. I am sure my suggestions are simple..inappropriate.

Well, next time I am going to suggest this:
You are too many unstoppable evil floating time currency islands enemies inhabited by cats who has to be kept alive and connected but distanced in random generated frog world where dead is not the end and you can control only the enviroment with one button.
I think that is exactly what a lot of people wants (based on the suggestions)
Usually I start from scratch, but this time i am going to do a little bit of preparations, like scene transitions and...., in fact scene transitions are only thing I have in my mind right now. :D What else do you prepare?
Anyway, here is my first "Logo" scene. :)

It was pretty hard for me to come up with something not related to the death. After an hour of brainstorming we came up with something, but here is a list of things we did not use:
[Delay your work on the project before deadline - you will have to finish it anyway]
[Delay your sinking ship - you will sink anyway]
[Delay your alarm clock - you will have to wake up anyway]
Maybe it will kick some ideas for someone.
I dont undestand how are you able to complete almost whole game on the first day.
I am glad I finished core mechanic somehow.
I used the theme as "He is being so needy that taking care of him only delah the inevitable - either he is going to leave or i will kill him."
Well, my head is there only as place holder. In reality you are in charge of shelter for monster. These monster have their needs and as you satisfy them they are getting more demanding and have more and more needs. One day you will have to decide if you will either sell them, kill them or watch them being unhappy as you cant meet their needs. :)

It always stress me up.
