Presenting the new Cave Jimmy

It's Cave Jimmy!

Off to sleep. I’m timelapsing this time too.

Good Morning

FOOOOOOooooddddd

Going with the tried and true here – had about two bowls total, adding in cereal as I went.

It will be interesting to watch the timelapse photos of the sun coming up later.

Maps, Desk Photo, and a Snack

Got map loading and rendering working, with a little Cave Jimmy walking around. Those cave entrance things don’t go anywhere yet.

Cave Jimmy in the titular caves

Also having a quick roll of Smarties as the clock nears noon. Here’s a shot of my desk, Smarties included:

It's my desk!

Well What Else Can I Break With Physics

Cave Jimmy II: Physics Breaker is now running as smoothly and with far better graphics than the original Cave Jimmy, and I’ve even got the original classic umbrella for him in.

But I have no idea where to go from here.

Oh oui Umbrellas

Well, anyways, here’s lunch:
Hot dog, salami.

Had Dinner Earlier But Here’s Ice Cream Also Screenshot

Had dinner earlier:

But here’s ice cream:

And, as a bonus, a screenshot of my latest attempt to do something actually worth playing, since Cave Jimmy II was not:

So, I didn’t partcipate.

Cave Jimmy II: Physics Breaker. Rendering engine.
Finally succeed at making LudumDareBot function properly. End Friday.
Physics engine. Level-switching engine. Umbrella.
Several hours later – add slime. End Saturday.
Do nothing all day. End Sunday.

And here we are! Food pics from Sunday, (maybe) timelapse, and the unfinished version which is totally useless coming in a bit.

Most Likely Jamming

Heyo Ludum Dare, looks like it’s that time again!

I’m likely to be jamming this time instead of entering the compo proper because I’m not quite ready to release the library I’ve been working on lately. The tools I’ll be using will include:

 • Coding: C++0x, with NetBeans and homebrew Makefile magic.
 • Libraries: Allegro 5 and its addons along with my private library.
 • Art: MS Paint and Allegro Sprite Editor for pixel art, GIMP for fancy stuff.
 • Sound: Sfxr for effects and Stockboy‘s music editor if I do any music.
LudumDareBot may or may not be attending this LD. The computer I usually host it on is currently unable to remain powered on for much longer than 5 minutes. At the very least I will personally be on IRC during the compo.

Imagination Game

After quite a bit of imaginary work, I have created a game of imagination! Play it, and imagine all the fun stuff you’d be doing if I had programmed it.

Here’s a nice imaginistic screenshot, for you to imagine described what the game was actually like:

Imagine what it would be like!

Imagine what it would be like!

So yes, download the game now and experience all the imaginary fun!
