Wrapping up our first Jam

My dev partner and I are wrapping up our first Jam and boy has it been a blast! We've really enjoyed following what everyone has been working on.

I'll be honest though, it's a lot of work to come up with mechanics, develop them, fine-tune them, and polish the finished product in a single weekend.

This definitely was a great exercise to test where we're at as developers. I'm excited to participate in the next, but boy am I going to need to sleep a lot over the next few days...

Until next time everyone! Can't wait to play your games later!

Finished my first game jam!

Boy am I tired... We finished our game just in time though, so all in all, I'm just proud of myself and my dev partner for getting through this weekend.

Hope you all enjoy our game!

Second Ludum Dare all wrapped up!

Well, I had a lot of fun participating in my second Ludum Dare. I have to say though, the theme this time around really through me for a loop. I spent the first day and a half of the jam just trying to come up with a feasible idea. All in all, I think the finished product turned out alright. Plus I met two new friends along the way!

Hope you all enjoy our game!

First Compo Done!

My third Ludum Dare, and first Compo, is done!

It's definitely not my best work, but hey, it's "finished" and it was a fun weekend project.

Check it out if you're in the mood for "taking out the trash"!

5 Jams done in a row!

My current team has stuck together for five whole jams now and we've even gained a few new members along the way. This has to be my favorite bonding experience among my creatively inclined friends. I hope to keep participating for years to come.

If you like ice cream or just want to show us some support, please come check out our game!

Behold... Scrubby Shrimp!

After a weekend of coding, designing, and cleaning virtual algae, we're proud to announce our Ludum Dare 56 game, Scrubby Shrimp! 🦐

In this whimsical 2D adventure, you play as a tiny shrimp navigating the aquarium, dodging obstacles, jumping for algae, and showing off shrimp acrobatics. We had a blast bringing this aquatic world to life, and we can’t wait for you to try it out!

Check it out and see if you can master the tank cleaner's life. And in the spirit of this momentous occasion... behold, shrimp! 🦐✨

Something’s Glowing Below...

Just getting started, but we’re vibing with this theme already. You play as a little glowing jellyfish drifting endlessly down into the deep, lighting the way as you go, and dodging... whatever’s waiting below 👀

Here's a first look: 4-05-2025-(01-43-53).gif

More to come soon! Can’t wait to show what’s deeper down below!

Night 3 Dev Update: Final Descent Begins!

The core gameplay is finished! 🧼

Our little jellyfish now drifts through the depths, lighting the way and dodging danger. We've got glowing krill, animated fish, and a living underwater world.

Tomorrow is all about sound FX, music, bug fixes, and polish. We’re super excited to share the final game with you soon.

🕹️ Can’t wait for everyone to dive in!

It’s Done! Jellylight: Descent into the Deep is Live!

We’ve just finished our submission for Ludum Dare 57!

Play as a glowing jellyfish drifting downward through the deep sea. Avoid eels and anglerfish, collect bioluminescent krill to stay alive, and try to reach the ocean floor 100 meters below before your glow fades out.

This was such a fun jam to work on. Huge shoutout to my wife, Savannah, for the beautiful hand-drawn art — and thanks to everyone who followed along!

Can’t wait for you to play it!

Trick-or-treat with timing! Knock-N-Treat is live

Hi everyone! Here’s my entry for Ludum Dare 58: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/knock-n-treat

candy03.png

Run house to house collecting candy before time runs out!

Every door hides a short skill-based challenge. Nail your rhythm during the knock-sequence, then catch falling candy in your bucket. Once a house’s light goes out, you’ll need to find another one that’s open for business!

Built by my wife and I over the weekend with Unity, Logic Pro, and hand-illustrated art (+ way too much coffee). ☕🧡

Scrub the static and find the signal! Signal Scrubber is live

Screenshot 2026-04-20 175053.png

Strange signals are buried in the noise.

Adjust frequencies, stabilize waveforms, and isolate transmissions before they disappear. Click and drag controls to tune the signal and lock onto something out of this world... 🛸👽

Built by my wife and I over the weekend with Unity, hand-illustrated art, and a slightly concerning amount of waveform tweaking.

This marks my 14th Ludum Dare entry, and likely my last for a little while. We have a baby on the way, and October's jam timing is cutting it very close.

It's been a heck of a ride y'all. I hope to get in one or two more before it's all over for good. Until then, thanks for playing! Can't wait to try all your games! 🫡👾🎮
