tracker

I think the tracker upgrade might be a bit distracting if it tracks every raptor

Would post a .gif but the 5 seconds I recorded ended up being 10mb

With colours:

Going to add upgrades that you can unlock for rescuing a certain number of raptors

Currently there are:

  • +speed
  • +carry limit
  • +max time
  • jetpack for boosting around
  • lasso for catching distant raptors
  • compass so you don’t get lost
  • raptor tracker so you can find all 500 raptors

Going to try to come up with 5 more

My game so far

So my game is going to be some sort of turn based rpg. The idea is each party member only has 1 HP, and each enemy must be killed in 1 turn, otherwise they heal or something. Not sure if they should just recover or become invincible if you don’t kill them. Perhaps I’ll add difficulty levels if I have time.

Each enemy has a weakness, and exploiting that is key to defeating them.

Currently I have map generation, movement and pathfinding working, going to implement abilities and attacking next.

Currently my ideas for each class’ abilities are:

Rogue
– Backstab     – criticals do 4x damage                – passive
– Stealth     – don’t give off pathfinding info        – passive
– Blind        – target can’t move or attack next turn        – range: 1

Hunter
– Snare        – target can’t move next turn            – range: 3
– Power shot    – deal 2 physical damage to target next turn    – range: 3
– Shoot        – deal 1 physical damage to target        – range: 3

Cleric
– Shield     – target is immune to damage this turn        – range: 3
– Holy weapon    – target deals holy damage next attack        – range: 3
– Smite        – deal 1 holy damage to target            – range: 3

Wizard
– Flame weapon    – target deals fire damage next attack        – range: 3
– Fire bolt    – deal 1 fire damage to target            – range: 3
– Mirror image    – spawn a illusion that enemies will target    – range: 1

Knight
– Block        – immune to damage this turn            – range: 0
– Taunt        – reduce party member’s visible range        – range: 0
– Intervene    – swap positions with another party member    – range: 1

Barbarian
– Charge    – move in a direction and attack        – range: 1
– Roar        – target moves away from party next turn    – range: 3
– Rend        – target is weak to physical damage this turn    – range: 1

Each level of the dungeon you complete will give you 1 skill point for the entire party. And maybe each party member can only learn 1 skill. Not sure about that yet.
