As the music person, often times I need to leave the discussions as early as possible to get started on the track. So as soon we settled on some sort of space theme based on exploration, I bid my adieu and launched my DAW to record the tiny melody that popped into my head during the talks, to which I unfortunately exposed my teammates by misclicking and NOT muting myself... ANYWAY.

I picked up my trusty guitar and recorded this simple idea and then proceeded to build a 3 minute track around it:

I sort of had the sound/atmosphere in my head before starting. I wanted it to have grit, that Western bite, but also an electronic, modern feel to it. This was a theme I had been wanting to explore further since being mesmerized by a few tracks by others with a similar space cowboy/cowgirl feel.
