Ludum Dare 46

Scared but Willing to Try.

To quote Jeremy Clarkson, "How hard can it be?".

I did Global Game Jam earlier this year, heard about and considered Ludum Dare from there. No pun intended. Depending on theme, gonna try this out and brush up the old Blender and Unreal. Knowing my luck, also going to be solo just like GGJ. So there'll be guaranteed ups and downs or, worse, an unfinished/half-baked game.

It's Getting There...Slowly

Although I didn't post an update yesterday, it's getting there. I know that one of the major drawbacks of doing it solo is that it can feel overwhelming having to make sure every little detail, even if it's outside of you're preferred development path, is in tip top condition. Admittedly because of this, I don't know if I can submit a proper, working game and, if I do, it'll probably have sub-par sounds.

So the game I had in mind was you're tasked with looking after a planet's ozone layer on a planet to prevent it from becoming too hot to sustain life. After a "breakthrough" of just sending a ship laden with Ozone to patch it up. LD_Screenshot.PNG

Final Stretch

Almost there. Now the only thing stopping me right now is and I'm genuinely asking, how do I share the final Unreal 4 executable? (Yes I'm that new to Ludum.)

Done, Done and Double Done

A bit of a panic when pages were taking longer than anticipated to get the page organised for submission but then I remembered the same thing happened at GGJ near submission time.

Any who, my game "Oh No, Ozone!" is now available for you all to try out. Here's hoping I set up the download correctly as a LD first timer.
