Gamer : Why do so many lazy devs default to such poor graphics? I hate 8-bit art!!!
Dev : Me too!!! (continues writing 64-bit pixel art)
Gamer : Huh?

Hey everybody! I'm really excited about this game I made with the Phaser framework! I like Phaser a lot and if you haven't heard about it, at least check it out : https://www.phaser.io
It does take away some of the flexibility you would have if you used something like Pixi.js but it simplifies a lot of things that are really hard to manage on mobile like audio, scaling, etc. If you made a game with Phaser and are looking for ratings, be sure to let me know.

Hey everybody, I've been playing and rating a lot of games, but this one was especially good. I'm really sad that it has only 12 ratings.
Sure, it doesn't have too much gameplay - it's just one big level - but the graphics are SO detailed. Please check it out, I really think it deserves more.

I'm really excited! After so many incredibly annoying bugs, I finally managed to port a post-LD version of Wayside to Android. It's working quite well and I'm really happy. Please check it out if you have an Android phone. I hope you all will like it! :D

Please note : This is a POST-LD version. Don't even think of giving me a rating based on the Android version. Also : I will be releasing the game to the Amazon Appstore for Kindle and Fire tablets. I will also be having it on the Apple App Store as soon as possible.
I have renamed the game Outback. hopefully to prevent confusion between the LD and the post-LD versions)
Find the in-LD version here : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/wayside-a-little-robots-journey-in-search-of-an-end
Download the Android version over here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thecodefactory.outback
A post-LD version of my game is now available on the Google Play Store as well as the Amazon App Store. It's available as a free download with no ads or IAP for now. It may lag a bit on some devices. If it is slow on yours, please let me know in the comments under my game. Also, I would really appreciate it if you guys could rate my app on the Play Store and App Store. And yes, it is coming soon to the Apple Appstore. I have submitted it and hopefully it will be released by Wednesday night.
I have spent a week sitting up late, working desperately to fix bugs, and struggling to increase performance. (I was using Cocoon.io to wrap my HTML5 game) So, please do not expect the app to be perfect. there may still be some lag. Your comments and critique will be greatly appreciated. I am taking a 2 week break and will come back and fix potential bugs. I'll also put some real effort into publicizing it after that. I have also renamed the game as "Outback"
- Wayside on LD
- Outback on Google Play
- Outback on Amazon App Store
At last! I finally have a post-LD version of my game available for free on the Apple App Store, the Amazon Appstore, and the Google Play Store. For now, the app is completely free, with no ads, and no IAP. I'm pretty happy with the app, but be warned, it does unfortunately have some performance issues on certain devices.
I would really appreciate it if you guys would take the time to play it, rate it, and give me your feedback. I'm really glad I was able to participate in LD39 and I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.
I also renamed the game Outback (hopefully to prevent confusion with the LD version)
If you know of anybody else who might enjoy playing this, be sure to let them know!
Less than 3 days for the results. Hope you all had a really fun LD39. And one last shout out to this cool game over here! And if you have some free time, I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at the mobile version of my LD entry.
I spent a lot of time on it and I hope you guys like it.
