What Are We Doing?

I've invited my girlfriend, my sister, and 4 other friends over this weekend to make a game. None of us know how to code. It's gonna be epic.

Night One

We're finished coming up with ideas. Time to sleep and choose a winner tomorrow. Let me know what you think we should pick.

  1. An RPG adventure where you start with all of the items and slowly lose the space to carry them as you progress.
  2. A refrigerator space management game where people keep bringing groceries and you have to decide what to cook/eat to make space and make sure nothing goes bad.
  3. A flower shop SIM where you have plenty of all of the resources to grow plants for your customers except spaces to grow the plants are always the limiting constraint.
  4. A top down maze/cave adventure game where your space bar places a bomb or digs a square out but you have a limited number of space bar presses per level.
  5. An asteroid mining company SIM where you send out kerbal style dude to mine the asteroid and they have a limited amount of space on the trajectory of the asteroid before it flies to far from Earth to return with your loot.
  6. A pipedreams style puzzle where you try to solve the grid puzzle but the squares begin to lock the pieces every so often.
  7. An action adventure based on a submarine that is sinking, and rooms with systems that you need to active to escape begin to flood and become locked off.
  8. The Oregon Trail, but in space.
  9. An Earth overpopulation puzzle game where you have to manage resources and control birth rates.

Done Is Done I Guess

We made a game. I'm very proud of it. I also can't believe how easy it was to learn Game Maker Studio. Please check it out, I'm dying to see the ratings and get feedback.

Does everyone always feel like they have 1,000 ideas for improving their game the day after the jam? Is that normal?
