IM BACK!! again

After a few months without showing up here. Here I am! Ready to make new pixelarts and try to fit the theme in a platform/topdown mode, for your happiness (or not) hehe.

I am trying to encourage some friends who have never make games, to participate with me in the next edition... I will try to put some of their pixels or draw, as estereggs in the someplace of the game  .

I will participate in my beloved COMPO mode, transmitting my entire process via Twitch.

~~Unfortunately I am not practicing pixel art for a few months, so let's see what will come out this time~~

My name is Thiago Augusto Weizenmann, i develop games for about 6 years professionally, and I participate in Ludumdares since the 30th edition. One of my biggest inspirations at the beginning of everything here at Ludumdare, was the participation of the great @pietro-ferrantelli, with his beautiful pixelarts (I'm a fan since Genemon entry). That until today are my main references together with @pedro-medeiros pixels <3.

Some of my LdJam games Here.

And here are some of my pixels that I made in the last few editions: 30fd4.gif 30fd6.gif Animated GIF-downsized (1).gif

You can watch me here: HalsterAW

ps: I am Brazilian, and during the live, I will probably speak most of the time in Portuguese.

I have a question about the COMPO rules

I have some friends who have never made a game, and who lately are excited to participate in some way. I invited them to participate with me, however they have no availability to commit to 48hrs.

According to the COMPO rules, I must do the project myself.

My question is: It's okay if they contributed some detail to the game. (like drawing a bush, bird, etc. (or an Easter egg))? Or would that be against the rules? The programming, art, sound etc would be mainly done by me, but they would contribute with some detail.

Anyway, I think it would be a good start, to be able to convince them to actually participate in the next one.

Has anyone done something like that? Is everything okay according to the rules?

He needs a name ...

For my history of participation here at ludumdare, I have a terrible habit of choosing bad names for my games.

This time, I'm closer than ever to having a good game in that marathon. However, because of my sleep deprivation to achieve this, I can't think of anything.

The game, in short:, Is about an adventurer who enters a well in search of treasures, but what he finds are his internal demons. On a deep journey to your inner self. (Like "Celeste" + Mementos, from "Persona")

Pixeeelss

I finished the scene for the night part. Now I'm going to start making the character. The idea is that every 10 seconds it changes from day to night, and changing some things from position, enemies etc. Capturar.PNG

I need to send the sprites to the programmer. Because for now it is using these placeholders: imagemem2022-10-01/em094858261.png

Ok, That was close...

+-10 seconds left (lol), I managed to generate the build and publish. Now I just want to sleep.

Checkout this little Capybara Platform

After years without participating in a gamejam, it was great to fell the emotion of a Ludum Dare again. This time i @thiagowaw, invited 2 of my friends @sombrans and @whitenoise who had never developed games before.

Our main goal was to produce something playable by the end of the event, so we decided it would be a platform game.

Initially, you would have 10 seconds to reach the end of the level, passing enemies without dying, or killing them. But we ended up with just one platform without participating in the jam theme.
