Ludum Dare 38 Games List with Search and Random.

Just made a google spreadsheet with all the games to make it easier to find games, includes random feature. Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HWYo-es4weXRFnUBhKAUHX9rCodGiczvyIsWRkx9eoo/edit?usp=sharing Also acts as a search engine! Now has both actual names and url names, no longer has duplicates.

Planet or Die! is now playable on any screen size.

Game Description:

You are Stilles 33, the tiniest planet.

Scientists continually change their definitions as they refine their understand of the world. Pluto used to be a planet. Eris used to be a planet. Your classification as a planet is now at risk!

Use powerful rhetoric and all the best logical fallacies to outwit your opponent and convince an impartial academic crowd that you are actually a planet.

Ludum Dare 38 Games List now searchable by author!

Ludum Dare is bugged so that you can't find the game made by one of it's authors unless that author is the owner.

AVAVT said:

@PoV there’s still one huge bug with the team: When I look at some one else’s profile, I can’t see their game if they are >not the leader. Just to be clear it must be a combination of NOT a team leader && NOT you.

Example: btrotter101 who is a member of Space Brawls

I have reported this once before via twitter but received no response.

Some people apparently haven’t noticed this and didn’t leave a link to their game in their profile, and it’s impossible >to find their game to play.

My google spreadsheet remedies that by including the authors of each game (by their nickname). Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HWYo-es4weXRFnUBhKAUHX9rCodGiczvyIsWRkx9eoo/edit#gid=0

Ludum Dare 38 Games now with ratings Given vs Received

My google spreadsheet now also has the ratio for ratings given versus received. I will repeat what I said in the spreadsheet since it is very relevant:

E1:

Given To Received Ratio of ratings, Note: instead of dividing by 0, I either answer with 1 if no rating were given or max value if at least 1 was given. Also note that given ratings are divided by 8 while received is divided by the amount of categories. Warning not 1 to 1 total ratio, see sheet "Stats".

Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HWYo-es4weXRFnUBhKAUHX9rCodGiczvyIsWRkx9eoo/edit#gid=0

Note: The ratio is rounded to the 3rd decimal place.

Post Jam Releases Should be Boldly Marked as such

There are probably a number of games where people are tricked into playing and rating the post jam version* of the game. EG: Roboland**, where even a streamer got confused and played the post jam version. So I propose either post jam releases must be boldly declared as that, or the jam version must be boldly declared as that.

* : some changes after the jam is allowed, porting, and last second bug fixes (if you are doing more then 1 bug fix you are probably doing it wrong. (Source: You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline. You are asked to highlight the changes you make)) **: Since this game was likely rated mostly by its post jam version I think the disqualification or reducing the rating received should happen. And yes the difference between the versions is huge enough to propose this.

PS: I don't think the dev of roboland intentionally tried to deceive users.
