This is quite an adventure! Our first ludum dare, for each of us.

After spending a few hour brainstorming a subject, a lot of coffee and strange time as we live in Eu, we finally have a non-bug free almost feature complete sort of a game.

With still 2 days left to improve it and finally add enemies, sound and a tutorial, we start to feel that we will be able to achieve our goals!

Our game is really going good and the team is happy with the result!

Today some of us focused a bit more on art when other added the support for wave of enemies and a webgl build.

There is still a lot to do to: fix bug, balance the gameplay and maybe improve some termites AI, but overall the game is already feeling cool to play.

Ho an audio... if we have time hehe.

We can even lose, there is no way to win for now and we have a tutorial under the shape of tooltip everywhere :D

Our game Rise of the Termites was published about 20 minutes ago, and since then, I can't stop play testing it :)

It's so fun, that's the best I could expect from my first game jam: having a cool, challenging game.

Our little team of 4 dev without art skills was put to the challenge, weird timezone making us start at 3 AM, 1 dev getting sick and out on the first day, and another one having to work on Monday. However, we succeeded and we are proud of it!

I'll make this short, because I still have 3 level to beat at our game, but feel free to join us and play too: there is a webgl (browser) and windows build.

Ho ho hooo,

For the third time in a row I'll be joining you all in this awesome experience that is ludum dare!

But this time will be a real challenge for me, I'll try it alone ^^ As it's December, most of my usual conspirators are either working as elves for Santa, either getting ready to eat so much during the end of year holidays that they will explode.

Yes! Here we are again! I'm in for the 4th time in a row, this is my 1 year aniversary of Ludum Dare :)

I'll be doing it alone this time as my planned team partner was hold off by life and so.

I will be probably using my usual tool belt:

When I started LD41, I was desperate :p The theme wasn't really making sense to me as if I could find a way to make 2 genres work together, well, they were not incompatible.

So I went to sleep, during 7 hours. After waking up I decided to forget the "incompatible" word of this theme and just do as most of us, combine 2 genres that are not often combined.

After a bit of brainstorming, I decided to start on a Doodle-God-Like combined with a Tower Defence and started coding. I also decided to challenge myself and make a 3d game this time, even with animations. My art is very placeholder for now, but I don't know if I will have the time and the ability to do better, but I'll try ^^

The TD component gameplay is done at 65% I would say, and the Doodle one, hemm... 1% maybe? But that second one is much easier to code and mostly UI stuffs.

I'll take a break now, and continue a bit later, but until then here is some screenshots:
