First day progress on "A journey of the block"

screen1.jpg

So today made some assets and coded and animated player controller as well as core mechanics. My game is deconstructing a very popular blocks game (starting with Tetri), if I manage to pull it off (tasks list is very long) it will be very interesting.

Cheers

Added macOS and Web builds

Added mac and webgl builds to my game "A Journey of the block" which pretty much take on what happens to tetris block before it enters game and drops down from the top of the screen.

LD 42

Just to clarify: do we have some changes about following rules since LD41?

Last LD there was some drama regarding top games breaking the rules. Based on this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/ludumdare/comments/8jrij7/sogamethatwas1stinmoodincompo_used/) there was no action taken to change anything. however in one of the post here there was a lot of proposals to avoid such situations. Was anything improved since LD41 ?

Night Shift - getting there.

It's been a very long LD, 9 hours to go. Made a good progress now entering into final stage with my game Night Shift. Where factory workers fight against space, time and most importantly themselves!

In this edition we make a game in a two people team, 1 dev and 1 artist, we are in asia and started late but we are doing good progress. 11 hours in, We have main character controller done, some core mechanics like shooting and melee, as well as some enemies with controller to 80%. Also some basic UI and enemy spawner. Our main character is a little kid fighting off clowns in an amusement park. Screen Shot 2562-10-05 at 22.21.36.png

Carnival Mayhem is Live.

Carnival Mayhem is up, this Jam game took 22 hours to complete, and it's all about killing clowns (who doesn't like that).

My compo game "while(true)" published.

typing.gif

You are a controller of an exploration robot stranded in far away planet, sadly its code corrupted and it will break once it runs out of commands, so your task is to type navigation orders into console as fast as you can.

Game has 101 procedurally generated levels.

Come and play here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/$223315

Come play while(true) - web GL available.
