Long time friend and colleague, Sir Not Appearing In This Post, are working on a title that will shake the very foundations of modern science.

Following the theme, we’ve decided to delve inside of ourselves. Literally.

Hour 1

From concept to screenshot in under an hour. That’s pretty good for one Canadian (not myself, my colleague).

The game shall be a top-down, asteroids like game taking place inside the human body. More to follow…

In order to fit the theme of “Discovery”, we’ve designed the game to include identifying rouge cell elements within the body that will be targeted for destruction.

Here is another screenshot of our game coming together. A simple GUI layout was added with an animated EKG style life meter (WOW!).

Now that all these assets are in place, it’s only a matter of time before it’s an actual “game”, in the sense of the word.

We may not have any music. We may not have any sound effects. We may not have a very complete “game” in the sense of the word. But we only had 72 hours. And I think we probably worked only during 30-40% of the time. So we’re pretty proud of this one.

Not bad for a weekend. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m building an arcade machine with my friends.
