I am in
First Ludum Dare, let’s see what happens.
Probably gonna do something in HTML/Javascript.
Good luck to us all!

Okay, I tried brainstorming but this idea kept coming to my head so it must be The Chosen One.
Entire game on this screen
It will be a simple game: the player have to move tokens on the screen so they match the background color, which will flip. Leave the token on the wrong color and you lose it, the longer it survives the more points per flips it gives.
Let’s see if it is any fun.
Following my idea I have a background ready and a moving token. Next step: turn this into a game.
It is hosted on my Dropbox (referral link), click here to try it.
I looked at the clock and realized how late it is, doesn’t matter, just finished the heavier work, you can try it here.

There is nothing wrong with your monitor.
Basically you have to move the ‘coins’ to an area with the same color.
To do:
It’s a very simple game, but I am liking the outcome.
My game is simple but is working, the coins are removed, the sound is playing and I still have a day to polish.

Now with more Snowman.
Try it here.

It’s done.
Yeah, that’s it. I have successfully participated in a Ludum Dare, my game is finished, but with a lot of stuff to improve.
After finishing the gameplay I realized that it’s meant to be played on a tablet. The methods I’m currently using does not support touch input, but that’s probably not a hard fix. I have tested on Firefox and Safari, and the only difference I noticed is the sound, Safari has smooth transitions, but the sound gets weird if you minimize.
I have this idea of creating stuck/dead pixels when you miss the color and fixing the stuck ones when you get it right, another improvement for tomorrow. I also want to make a transition for the colored areas. I have done this before, theres a way to change a RGB value into another smoothly.
Again, it is available here.
