Managed to get Monday off work to do this. In Australia, Ludum Dare starts at 12pm Saturday and runs until 12pm Monday so told the boss I won’t be in 馃槈

Will be developing it using the Gideros Studio SDK and probably use Paint.Net for graphics along with BFXR for music and probably NoSoapRadio for free music, if needed.

This will be my first Ludum Dare. I did do a 48 hour programming challenge with Techority a couple of years ago and looking forward to this one.

A shame the potato missed out. One of my friends was really excited for it 馃槈

Time for a mini break to get some much-needed coffee and let the brain relax.

I’d originally started with an idea for an adventure type game — picking up gold and fighting monsters, but soon realised that wouldn’t work for me.

Now I’m trying out a demo of an idea for a basic shoot em up game.

Not great but it’s something at least.

Yeah I don’t know how to focus with my new HTC One yet. With the iPhone you just tap the area to focus on, but the HTC One starts a countdown to take the photo XD

Try CamStudio, the trick with getting good framerate with it is to grab and use the K-Lite Mega codec pack v9-80

Thanks but CamStudio could not find an audio device on my computer to connect to. Even if I used the old Windows XP setting. Fiddled with it for a while and had to give up.
