First day down

After 11 hours it's starting to come along. It's a mix between educational language learning of the words for colours and bomb defusal. You have to diffuse a bomb, the time is ticking but the instructions are in a foreign language. Why not learn on the job? It’s only life LudumDare1.JPGand death.

Second day in and she's pretty much finished

I managed to really limit the scope of this game to make sure I could complete it in these 48 hours, besides I have to go back to boring old work tomorrow. Just some spit and polish to go. It is one minigame to learn the names for basic colours in 40 different languages, and you can localize the UI into 28. Snip2.JPG Snip3.JPG

Localisation

A super useful resource for localising your game is the Polyglot GameDev project: http://www.bit.ly/1ESPiO6 They also have a Unity plugin and I'm currently trying to make a Godot implementation which I'll try and share pre-jam.

Godot Localisation

Here's a repository for implementing the Polyglot Gamedev localisation database into your Godot game. https://github.com/weirdybeardyman/godot_polyglot You will need to use a font that supports the relevant characters. Google Noto sans is ideal.

Thanks so much to everyone who played and rated my game, and the few people who supported my twitch stream.

I'm over the moon!

I'm in

The aim is to finished more fired up for game development afterwards, not burnt out from it. (harder said than done)

Using Godot, and whatever tools suit the theme.
