Seven Hours In!

Hey everyone!

This is our first Ludum Dare and we're thrilled to be participating!

We're seven hours into development and things are progressing at a decent pace. We took a little over an hour to brainstorm, as we really wanted to come up with something unique and interested for this theme. We skipped a lot of obvious ideas, or ideas that took the theme too literally, and tried to think outside the box.

We're very excited to show you what we've come up with. Unfortunately, there isn't too much to show yet, but we'll update you in a couple hours with some screenshots!

Best of luck everyone! :)

Paws?

Look at all these paws! Seems like one's reaching into the bag? Hm...!

(No actual textures or post-processing yet).

Moving Along!

Alright, so, we have some progress!

The main character model is complete, as well as some NPCs, and plenty of props/objects. Not going to say exactly what the gameplay is like yet, but we can definitely say that we're making it look like a Nintendo 64 game!

In that footage, you'll notice that we don't have any proper textures yet (just using some random placeholders), but we do have that old-school jittery texture effect, N64-like controls (you have to press buttons to rotate the camera by 90º clockwise or counter-clockwise), and a 4:3 screen resolution.

We're really excited about, so we'll be sharing more soon!
Hope all of you are doing great as well!

Hand Movement!

We might have to make the camera movement more subtle or just disable it altogether. Also: We should stretch that arm so it doesn't appear dismembered.
