First Ludum Dare, will be doing this again.
I had fun making my game, but I had to call it in early. Here's what i made https://landings101.itch.io/fighting-footwork

Using:
Piskel
Gamemaker Studio 2 (not drag and drop)
Got no sound programs because i don't know how to sound and i'd rather get some experience before I drive myself insane with them in a Ludum Dare. Also hopefully not making anything too complex this time since no one understood how to play my last game.
I think I can make this work with my idea.

The highest smart balance is currently -2 while the highest classic balance is 255.
Can someone explain why smart balance is always negative?
Let's go before I ignore this jam's theme as well!

With a theme "Deeper and deeper" how could I not attempt to make a giant army of 400 dwarfs mining deeper and deeper till they dig to deep?
Managed to get my pathfinding Idea done tonight, tomorrow's probably gonna be a lot about digging

Most of the major pathfinding is done now, next up I need to add the ability for these dwarfs to see ore, which means there needs to be ore first.
I might have time for a balrog after all.
After running into a bit of a hitch for a couple hours regarding how dwarfs interact with each other, I've managed to get a good chuck of features in. Tomorrow is probably gonna be animation day, and if I have enough time left I may add iron and a harder stone.
The main loop is done and the animations took less time then i thought they would (perks of working 8x8 pixels i guess).
Now I can work on iron and stone.

The gold out sped my ability to go down, and now i have too much gold. Before I had too little and couldn't do anything.
Everything "feature-like" is done, all that's left is sound and start and end screens.
I took a lesson from the previous ludum dare and added tooltips, so hopefully you all can understand the game when it out there.

Seems like a bit of a long one this time, hope you guys don't get sick of the music XD.
Had a scare (two in fact) where my hard drive decided it had enough and crashed, corrupting all the launch files for the project. Luckily most of my code and all my sprites were intact, so I still managed to get the game up. If anything weird happens besides the bugs i listed it probably has something to do with that.
I've finally managed to squash most of the bugs i was aware of so you all should be able to play the game in mostly bug free experience. There's only one other bug I haven't got to yet, but it doesn't seem to come up till later in the game.
I've also added a dwarf counter so you can tell how many dwarfs you were running with before the game started lagging, I hit about 984 dwarfs before any lag happened, but those of you with potato computers will probably hit less.
