72 Hours, One Submarine, and a Lot of Underwater Weirdness: Meet Subsume
We just wrapped up an intense (and honestly, super fun) 72-hour game jam, and we're excited to finally share: Subsume — a moody, atmospheric deep-sea exploration game with a story that’s as eerie as it is heartwrenching.
🧪 The Premise
You and your closest college friend—both brilliant scientists—once dreamed of building the EvoAdaptive SymbioSub, a groundbreaking deep-sea vessel designed to adapt to the environment around it. After years of working side by side, that dream finally became a reality.
But then... they took it. Without you. On a solo mission. That was a year ago.
Now, after months of isolation, anger, and determination, you've built another prototype—alone. And you’re going to find out what happened. To your friend. To the project. To everything you believed in.
📼 Narrative in the Depths
We managed to sneak in quite a few storytelling moments throughout the game, so if you’re curious about what really happened down there, keep an eye out for floating cassette tapes scattered across the seafloor. Each one holds a fragment of the truth—and maybe, a glimpse of your friend’s descent into obsession.

Thanks for playing. We hope you enjoy diving into the mystery as much as we enjoyed creating it.
