A little late to post this, but I'm In

Finished the game design doc last night, took a 6 hour nap, ready to get this started.

  • Graphics: Marmoset Hexels, FireAlpaca
  • Engine: Unity, GameMaker Studio, or RPGMaker MV, haven't really decided which yet
  • Sound: I will try to cobble some sound FX together, but no promises
  • Music: probs going to be placeholders

Going to try this for real this time

Just going to throw my hat in the ring for LDJam41, I don't expect to be making anything ground breaking but I do intend to make a game for this jam. I will be using either GODOT, RPG Maker MV, or some HTML5/Javascript/Twine magic and Marmoset Hexels for sprite graphics.

Update: LDJAM About 12 Hours In...

So Ludum Dare's theme this year is "Combine Two Incompatible Genres" so I am interpreting this to be a theme about making a game where you combine two different game genre's that interfere with each others base mechanics. To that end, I have decided to combine an Idle Game (Cookie Clicker, Farmville, etc.) with Adventure/Visual Novels/Interactive Fiction! I will be using Twine with some custom Javascript and CSS to get this accomplished. Minimal Graphics work will be done of course by my trusty sidekick, Marmoset Hexels! I've already made a framework for each event in Twine so that will be cool. Music and SFX, if any, will probably be derived from the free music archive, I really do not have the skills necessary to make it in this short period of time. Let's see how this jives together!

Getting Along, Not Fast Enough Though, I'm Afraid

Progress is being made in my #LDJAM41 entry, but I had to turn in early last night after I got struck with a pretty hefty migraine. However, I do think it will be a fully playable game even if I don't have graphics by the deadline tomorrow.

Getting my office together for the jam, making sure Twine, Unity, and GM:S are all updated. Got my food and schedule situated as well. Moreover I have enough whiteboards, dry erase markets, and board game knick knacks to paper prototype anything that this jam throws at me.
