Ludum Dare 45

Our first Ludum!

Hey everyone! I am joining with my friend and jam colleague -the amazing, the one- @Derbandev. Mainly, he's the programmer and I'm the artist, but we also design our games together. This is our first Ludum and, to be honest, we don't have lot of time this weekend but we wanted to give it a go anyway. The idea is to develop something simple we can be proud of... let's see how it goes!

Good luck to everybody!

Hey there!

Hi all! How is it going?

So first off, yes, our protagonist is a little kitty cat. Why, you say? Well, who wouldn't want to draw a little kitty cat?

Our fluffy buddy starts with absolutely nothing. No memories, no body and no time. All through the game, it'll have to surpass a number of challenges to survive and rediscover its real identity.

We've been working on it only in our spare time, but we're pretty happy with how it's becoming together. Hope you are having fun too!

Not that CATastrophic

Hi!

We are already cutting stuff from the original idea because we didn't have enought time (and now I have to take a train and tomorrow is monday, which means work... so yeah, I am in drama queen mode right now). My partner in crime @derbandev is going to keep up the good work while I travel this afternoon (7pm here!).

Here you have this kitty cat'unboxing to cheer you up!

Meowmories!

Hi there!

Yeah, it's me again (also @derbandev, as always).

We finally have a logo for the game. If you look closely, you may find two friendly faces in there ;). You already know our feline protagonist, but you might not know its tiny adventure starts as a spirit!

Also, and quite important, here's the first screenshot of gameplay we've shared! It's coming up nicely and, to answer the question no one asked: yes, we have a Schrödinger joke.

Done!

So, even if we though more than a couple of times that we wouldn't be able to say this: We finished our game!

It's been our second jam together, and we believe we've improved quite a bit from the first one (which is also on itch.io, feel free to try it if you don't mind that one being in Spanish). We're very much looking forward to reading your feedback for Meowmories (please don't be cruel or the cat will cry since we are beginners haha). My programmer almost died in the process (@derbandev if you're reading this, please go the duck to sleep) but he managed to keep going until the end (yeah, even being sick).

Right now, we urgently need some sleep and rest, but we'll be back to try as many games as we can because we've been seeing some really cool stuff these days. Nice job everybody!

Meowmories

Hi beautiful people!

We have a narrative-platform adventure with a moral at the end. It's a short one since we are beginners (it's our second jam) and sadly we didn't have much time to invest during de jam. We still need some ratings so if you want to play it you are more than welcome!

Also, we are looking for games to play when we have a bit of time. I already have some on my list, but if you want us to play yours, specially if you also need ratings and/or want feedback, leave us the link in a comment!

Also, we are always looking for games to play when we are able to (it's gonna be tomorrow since here it's already late). If you want us to play yours, specially if you also need ratings and/or want feedback, leave us the link in a comment! We will play them as soon as we have the chance!

As an extra I leave you with this ghost to celebrate spooktober and wish you a good night :)

Almeowst there!

Hi beautiful people!

Our game "Meowmories" is a narrative-platform adventure with a moral at the end. It’s a short one since we are beginners (it’s our second jam) and sadly we didn’t have much time to invest during the jam. We only need a few more RATings to reach that 20 mark so if you could give it a try it would be awesome!

Thank you!

Hi there!

Even if we didn't get into the top of the rankings @derbandev and I are so proud that we wanted to share it.

It was our first Ludum Dare, and we made the game in almost no time since I had to expend the whole saturday celebrating a birthday and also worked on monday, and my poor mate felt sick. We were happy enough that we managed to finish it, but the results in mood and graphics have cheered us up a lot! We didn't expect it at all.

Thanks to everyone who played and congratulations to all of you, because making a game is hard work and whatever the results are you have to be proud too.
