Are engine default assets, or basic variations on them, allowed?
The graphics of this engine are locked to 5x5 pixels so there's not that much variety to be had TBH

Spent it all working on game logic, and I've still got some stuff to work out. On the upside, I discovered an engine quitk that I don't believe has been documented anywhere and is potentially useful, so that's pretty neat.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

This was very fun but also very stressful at the end, I'm glad that I managed to get it in in time. If you're interested in checking out my game, it's here. Good luck to everyone, I'm looking forwards to seeing what everyone else made.

I made a blog post about this shortly after the compo finished, but I figure making another one now that people have have finished working on their jam games seems fair? Trying not to spam, but it's been a few days so it seems reasonable to post this. Play the game here, or else.

I'm definitely going to turn this into a more complete game, this was a lot of fun. (I'll post more info here once I have an actual engine up and running).

I have a character moving around a grid! It's not much, but given I started learning this language a couple of hours ago, I'll take it.

It's not that impressive visually, but it's actually fairly interesting to play around with.

counts right?

...at least, I HOPE they're placeholders.
Is there a way to filter for only HTML5 games? I seem to recall that being a feature from past jams, but maybe I'm misremembering.
(also we made a game and it's cool but I'll do a post about that in a few days I guess.)
