U, lookin for a game to play???
Of course your not, so how about counting some sheep to before you doze off...
need some more ratings and see what you think

I think the ideation went well to keep the scope small enough to be able to finish. A big factor of that was using PICO-8 which is a great way to prototype and make small games. Even with the extremely limited time I was able to spend actually working on the game I think it came out with potential.
Kids. Distractions kept getting in the way of spending more time. There was also a period where the game idea was not that fun and there were some interesting decisions to make about which direction to go. Also a pivot point that decided on the sheep theme.
There were a couple of minor coding bugs that sucked up a little bit of time.
I will be using PICO-8 for future game jams. I do want to add some additional features to the game that did not make it. Though when to add those has always been a open question for me. I usually stop after the COMPO time ends. And will only add or work on the games after ratings and the winner is chosen. Honestly rating games is a huge chore. Takes more work to play and review games than actually making them. Though a lot of the games need huge amounts of polish. And a game like Sheep Delivery would need a whole graphics overhaul and lots more content to make it on any platform. It might make an interesting mobile game though I'm not sure how the sliding wheel barrel picking up sheep would play. Worth a try!
Oh I need more reviews to get to 20 and I feel like a lot of games are kind of getting lost in the shuffle because there are just so many, please play!
This is last nights progress but I was too tired to post anything. I have this interesting effect now what to do with it?

Need some different effects and a couple of players I guess its a start

What do you think some dueling wizards!

You've waited so long... wait...

P.S. um some things are a little rough around the edges
As a two player game I appreciate anyone who is able to be able to try the game with a second person. I am so close to my goal of 30 reviews here only need a couple more. So if you have a friend and a couple of controllers, challenge them to a duel and appreciate any feedback!

I highly doubt I'm going to have anything playable for the COMPO.
All I have here is a boat that moves with some janky movement gonna try and get something resembling gameplay in here. We'll see

I'm in for this.
It's the signal, what was I thinking it was about. Of course, it was going to turn out to be evil. I should have known...

Needs work but it will have to do, just need some animations and we are good.
Had a busy day of well NOT working on things and still managed to get this tileset almost completed. Its close and then I can do foliage and paths and then get this into the game to roam around in.

Ok I need to be able to make a game out of these things, in 8 hours, goodness I hope my tiled loading stuff works.

Well I actually had to pivot a lot as progress was a little slow since I was busy again this weekend.

So I was attempting to get a simpler gameplay loop in but alas ran out of time. Make another attempt tomorrow.
It took a really long time for me to settle on this much getting close to some gameplay loop though the game never seemed to materialize. I will keep this in the back of my brain to see if some type of game emerges or play with some branches from this point and see where it may lead.
I definitely think I focused too much on just jumping into the visuals without enough of an idea of what the game was going to end up being.
Cheers to all those who submitted, you should be proud!
