Perhaps minimalist version of today’s first person shooter… something like OPERATION WOLF? or Commando? Hrmmmmmm

I am having an absolute blast doing this Ludum Dare.

Making a minimalist shooter before the mighty Call of Duty, in a similar style to Commando or Ikari Warriors, calling it “GET TO DA CHOPPA!”

The whole goal is just that, the title’s namesake.

Got the hero drawn, 8-direction, moving and shooting, scrolling and HUD in place. Controls are very simple, 8-direction movement , shoot button, grenade button that’s it.
