I’m In
After years of pondering it, I’m committing to it. Planning on doing something in JS, for fun, possibly using the CreateJS suite of libraries. Looking forward to 8 PM (yeah, yeah, CST).

Late start, but come check out the fun!
Hey all, here’s my entry! Had a lot of fun making it.
Alright. I’m in. I expect I’ll make a game in JS, probably using either EaselJS or ThreeJS if I’m feeling feisty. Here goes!
Alright, I’m in (probably).
Planning on using CoffeeScript & the canvas element, but no real firm plans beyond that.
Because why not?
Something in JS, I imagine; looking forward to seeing the theme.
I’ve created a github repo under the MIT license with a basic boilerplate set-up that I plan to use. Incorporates Browserify with Coffeescript, using Beefy. No real code in place, just super structure that should be well within the rules. Looking forward to getting started.
Work in progress is playable here.
Basic gameplay is in place; use the mouse to guide your little guy around, avoid the enemies. Enemies will combine when they hit each other. Press space to detonate (you only get one shot, so make it count!). Enemies will chain react with your detonation. I have to give credit to Geometry Wars 2’s Pacifism mode and the many flash chain reaction games as sources of inspiration.
According to Rescue Time, I’ve spent just under 6 hours on it so far, including about 30 minutes of boilerplate prep yesterday before the competition started. Pretty happy with the progress so far, given the amount of time I’ve put in.
Todos:
I’ve gone ahead and submitted my game here, let me know what you think!
I was able to complete most everything I wanted to, but there are some little bugs and visual quirks. If I get some more time before the deadline I’ll work on cross-browser testing and the glitches I know of. Luckily, it’s more than playable, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how fun it turned out.
Good luck to everyone else!
