No matter how I think about it, I always think of the greedy snake.

this is like my 3rd jam game that just turned creepy

We've got a little art, and a little code, and nothing works yet.
Let's go!
Core idea is done and player controller is coming along nicely
Time for a quick nap and then on to some asset creation
Good luck and have fun everyone!
Uhhh

I did manage to get something done-the dice roll.
I have no idea how to attach a video or a GIF here-help!

Hey everyone!
What a wild 72 hours it's been since the "COLLECTOR" theme dropped! We're Jasmine Team, and we're building our game, a game where you're core gameplay loop is in one sentence.
The Big Breakthrough: Today, we finally got the core mechanic working! Seeing the character showing on screen for the first time was a magical moment. 🎉
The "Interesting" Bug: Of course, it hasn't been all smooth sailing. We spent a good chunk of the day fighting a bug where the player would describe a funny or frustrating bug. Let's make a light-hearted joke about it.
What's Next? With the core loop in place, our next steps are to:
· Implement the UI. · Create assets for the second level. · Hopefully, get some sleep! 😴
Thanks for following our journey! Wish us luck!

lets begin our imagination of games!

Yup, I've overscoped a bit much... as usual =)

Finally, after an hour, I’ve finished brainstorming the gameplay!
It surprisingly took really long, I honestly just think it’s cause I had Silksong gameplay playing in the background Hopefully I get to actually finish the game since it seems kinda complicated.
Plan to get some progress into coding, as I haven’t even started it yet…
Enemies can now appear. They become "active" once in view, and some of them (like this placeholder bat) will "sleep" until hit or until something else wakes them up. There's damage and HP and everything!

After our first five hours, my team and I have a fairly solid idea of what we're making. The issue is we've had was how to make what we're making. lol
We've opted for a very simple, straightforward interpretation of the theme, and a simple FPS system. It was all going well until some of our ragdoll models... well, let's just say they had a few issues.
First, they melted instead of ragdolling, giving the models a jello-like appearance.

Later they got together and 'danced.'

Suffice it to say, dancing/spasming baddies was not in the design doc.
Eventually though, they fell in line.

Now to rest for an early start tomorrow!

Very proud of this liquid effect- it's just a sprite on an angle sine that has its mangnitude and cycle bound to the player character's movement sprites.
