I wanted to host both the original and post-jam versions of my HTML5 game on the same itch.io page. Unfortunately, this isn't something itch supports right now :(
I decided to hack together a little launcher menu with HTML/CSS, which takes care of the job.

here's the code if anyone wants to do something similar! https://gist.github.com/cgsdev0/76c91d9e603c82544f880ea3da14cb02
it's really simple - essentially you just need to upload a zip with this structure to itch, with both actual bundles in their respective folders:

and voila!
I see a lot of people that are yet to get 20 votes, and while I think most votes you can get are usually at the start of the voting days we can still work something out and help those with (as we say here in morocco "one leg in life, another in the grave") lol that sounds spooky never mind.
comment your games and I'll play the first 10 or so (sorry I get mentally tired from playing too many games). as long as your game is lower than 20 votes.
now I don't really need votes myself as my game have passed that number in the first days but heres the deal we should make: I'll play your game BUT as you can tell I can only give 1 vote which isn't much, so to make up for this limitation I highly recommend that you also play other games in the comments, at least 1 or 2. this way we can all help each other more efficiently and make everyone happy!
We made a little platformer where you teleport between dimensions every ten seconds. The browser version has the original game as it was completed by the 72 hour deadline, but under Downloads, you will also find the version with checkpoints, which is a lot less frustrating to play.
We'll also be uploading an extended postjam version very soon! This one has an extended level design, improved scenery, more polished and less punishing gameplay, and even a fourth spell you can unlock. There's also a little Easter Egg some fans of old 90s adventure games may recognise...

Sneak peek of the extended postjam version:

Behind the scenes look at level design. Circled in red are the sections that are entirely NEW in the postjam version, but existing sections have also been tweaked a little to be more clear or less punishing.. The solution to the puzzles hasn't changed, but they no longer require such precise timing.

Today our team will learn the results of the work done.
We take this project responsibly, so we went to watch the games of other teams.
Internet the way, come and see! https://ilya096.itch.io/iamnotedible

We will be very grateful for the ratings and feedback.
A friendly reminder that there is a "Danger" filter. As stated:
This is the rescue filter. Everything with less than 20 ratings sorted top to bottom. Items on the first page are typically 1-2 rating away, so help them out!
I'll be playing some games in this category. If everyone does that, maybe we can make lots of people happy!
Also, here is a song about the danger zone for you to enjoy  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8Jzt2yWCTM

All are homemade, and the devs are the actors. We might have spent too much time on this, just maybe-
Heyy so i've been really busy lately and only rated 3 games so far, so i probably don't really deserve it, but if anyone wants to try and save my game (i currently have 3 ratings), feel free to
It's a glitchy arcade machine that switches game every 10 secs :)

Link your game in the comments and I'll play it after I get back from work!
My brother and I made a metroidvania where you respawn every 10 seconds, keeping your progress. We'd GREATLY appreciate a quick rating. Thanks!

Hello LD folks
I just wanted to make this post to thank you all so much for playing and rating my game!!!
It has about 100 ratings, and i've never thought it'd be possible. I am just speechless. This was my first participation in a jam, and one of my first "real" game, so all of your comments really encourage and warm me!
I loved participate in LD51, because it's challenging in a good way, people's feedback are very kind, and it is just incredible to play that many great games, and to know that my own game has been played by many people too… It was really a super nice journey, and now i can't wait to be on January 6th to participate in the next one!
So again, thank you!

We got and gave 100 grades!

This is my first time working on a game! You guys want to give it a try? I did all the 2d art for this game!Try opening the game to play more!

Hello! Are you looking for ratings? I do rates for rates on my fast-paced arcade game! Hit a ball into enemies to kill them while every 10 seconds more enemies appear and more events happen! It's like air hockey, but much more lethal! I hope you play, rate and enjoy my game so I can do the same with yours!
Comment high scores too, I love to see how people are getting on with the game!

If you have 2-3 minutes, please try and votes my game !
Thanks a lot !
Our first multiplayer title Super Auto Crusaders has been a great success so far, with over 2000 rounds played!
Huge thanks to everyone who played our game, we've received a lot of valuable feedback.
Some interesting stats:
If you're interested, now is your last chance to play and rate our game!
You'll be facing against teams created by other players, so I hope you'll have fun figuring out how to counter their strategies!

This was our first time making a local multiplayer game! If you happen to have a friend nearby and a couple of controllers, please do give our Roman dodgeball game a go and tell us what you think :)
Hope everyone enjoys the last hours of the jam!

There's only 6 hours left to get your votes in for games! We're currently at 11 and need 9 more to go! Come check out our game and give us a rating and such! Seems people really like the game so far, and I'm already building a post jam version that has a lot of the feedback taken into account!
