Techtonic Towers is ready to play!

This was a fun one! Welcome to my 7th LDJam submission! I restricted myself to straightforward mechanics so that I'd spend less time coding and more time doing artwork and balancing the thing. I found my approach very refreshing!

Anyways, please feel free to check it out and leave a review! I'll be returning the favor tomorrow :) TechtonicGameplay.png

Play Here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/techtonic-towers

I tried the new embeddded HTML feature for this site and got a .unityweb error. Not to worry, I'm hosting it elsewhere and you can still play it in the browser!

Game is ready, made using my own engine!

paralland-print-07.png

This is the second game made by me using Cave Engine, ever! And I'm happy with how it turned out. Community already made other projects using it, but since this one is mine, it's always special.

Check it here:

Play Paralland!

Oh, and I almost forgot...

Cave Engine automatically records some interesting Statistics of your project, so here is the precise amount of time that I've spent inside the engine, creating this game:

WhatsApp Image 2022-10-03 at 19.17.33.jpeg

So out of the 72 hours, I've only worked in the game for 15h. But I think I've worked around 25h+ in the engine itself. What a challenge!

We did it and love it

Here our submission, a game about mental health, time is your ally and can help you in this fight against the ghost that prowl your mind.

We got this!

Screenshot_106 — kopia.png We finally got this! We have it, our game has landed, and we can finally start playing yours games. Please post your games in the comments, and we would be happy to rate them to see how you approached the topic. And of course, in your spare time, check out our game to see what we were able to do at this time. https://ldj.am/$307082

We finished our teleporting wizard game!!

This was fun! First time we made something like a puzzle platformer :) Now to go catch up on sleep...

It's Alive

Help Casimir to get some sleep. The poor guy is sneezing every 10 seconds.

My first Godot game. I really had fun creating this little guy

Ha-ha, I made it! And got some extra time left afterwards, too!

Wow, that was an intense weekend!

Three days of sitting at home and making everything work together in a deceptively simple-looking interactive human-cat system. Quite a few bugs found out, new programming patterns for Unity discovered and overall skill raised, loads of tea drunk - and all of this so I could finally, finally share this link with you:

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/catreams

It's my very first Cat game, and I'm very happy with how that turned out to be.

Cover.png

You can... sleep, eat and jump around. And purr in a chiptuney tones. And that big smelly human of yours gets to do stuff for you (they think it's up to them to decide what to do, ha-ha, nope). Just.. watch over them, alright? Humans are kinda fragile and don't have 9 lives, and have to be fed too... Damn, that's too many things to consider, need to sleep for a bit. (purring on the bed)

Genuinely hoping you'll enjoy it, as long as you've got the patience to take it slow and relax while your human tries to be better at being a pet.

As should I, probably, since it's 00:21 now here and a full working day next morning.

So, will check your wonderful games tomorrow

Night night!

Congratulations to all !!!

So happy to publish our game and excited to test yours. Thanks to the whole team @hozoku :handshake:

Jammin’ On Deck!

Got my deck ready to play some LD games! Hopefully y’all added gamepad support…

Finished right before the deadline

My last score was 211. Can you beat it? (probably yes, I didn't have much time to actually play it :) )

You can play Tense Conds here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/tense-conds

For Whom The Bell Tolls

Title.png

My group made a point and click adventure called For whom the Bell tolls.

You wake up in room and are told to pull a lever every 10 seconds. Unsure what else to do, you start pulling the lever and begin trying to figure out what's going on.

If you're a fan of puzzles, try out our game here!

Note: It looks like embedding for godot HTML5 games isn't working at the moment, but our game is playing in the browser and on mobile on the linked itch.io page.

The jam was a lot of fun, and we're excited to try out everyone's games!

Didn't finish, but might go for Extra with it!

Ended up having too much going on IRL to finish all the key mechanics by this evening, but this is still undeniably one of the better game jam projects I've done, even though I've "finished" (by game jam standards) a few before! I think it's a design that could end up being pretty fun and maybe even worthy of a full game.

Thankfully, LD has come through with adding the Extra format! So I can keep going, finish it later this week, and end up with what should be my best ever video game whether from a jam or not. I don't have a name for it yet, but hopefully that will come with time as well.

Follow me at https://twitter.com/wingman_gaming to keep track of this promising project!

I'm making an autobattler where "every 10 seconds" the fighting pauses and you and your opponent can each buy and place a single unit or structure card from a common pool. But instead of just trying to kill the other units, the goal is to control territory and kill the opponent's home castle like a classic RTS. So like tower defense, but moving forward... tower offense?

In addition to autobattlers like Teamfight Tournament, my design is heavily influenced by the board game Splendor, in which each player builds up and spends their resources in attempts to claim a common pool of powerful victory cards. Would absolutely recommend it if you're a board game person and want something simple to introduce to family or friends that still has a surprising amount of depth.

Have to go to sleep !!!

I'm sooooo sleepy!!! it's 6 am now....dead....

Can't delete the HTML5 version of my game

The delete button doesn't work for me. Is anyone experiencing this problem as well? Reloading the page doesn't help. Can anyone help me please? :)

Power Up, the Game!

We finished our local 2-player game, Power Up! Let us know what you think! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/power-up-local-2-player

After many missed Jams, we finally fished one again!

Me and @happygamer500 started off in LD 47 with Re:Live and caught the Game Jam Fever (tm). We joined so many game jams since, but only having one finished game to show for it. It's a shame that we never finished some of them because they were kind of cool. Anyways, we are happy we finally finished a game of once and are excited to finish a bunch more!

This is the game we made for this jam - Undying Torch

And this is a party game we worked on for a bit before abondoning because of bad code. I am currently tring to rebuild the game for what... the third time now. I went from C# + Monogame, to C# + a custom engine, and finally, Haxe + Kha. This game has been a wild ride.

(The reset of the unfinished games we made are somewhere deep on my Github)
