Ludum Dare 52 January 6–9, 2023

Jammers, at arms! We need your help! >:3

I've been asking around for some "danger zone" games to play, and while I've managed to fairly rate almost every one of them, there's one game I couldn't get to try correctly -- and from the looks of it, I'm not the first. It's the top featured game on the website right now, and it looks innovative and well made, but being a PVP based game, it hasn't managed to rack up enough ratings for a score (). So I'm asking each of you who are looking for a submission to rate, TRY THIS ONE PLEASE! It was made using Minetest, and while that's primarily a downloaded client, they've got a web version you can join in on RIGHT NOW, and if I end up getting enough of you, we may end up pushing this guy outta the ground!

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/final-harvest-1 You can play it here, let's all help him out ()! I hope I've convinced enough of you! xD

Come for Crazy Harvest

We are quite busy, but we finally, upload our game! You are welcome to play and give any suggestions! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/cravest LD52_3.jpg

I need your help!

The evaluation time is almost over and unfortunately I still haven't got the 20 ratings to be classified in the jam.

If you can, play and rate my game please.

If you also need ratings on your game, leave the game here so I can play and rate it!

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/the-cave-mushroom cover2.png

In this game you control a robot that was sent to collect some samples of a rare luminescent mushroom found in a cave.

However, while collecting the mushrooms, something went wrong and the electrical connections in the cave were severed.

Your mission is to get out of the cave safely so the mushroom can be studied.

To do this, use the emergency path and solve the cave’s puzzles using the batteries found along the way.

dentistry

Good evening to all the owners of their dentists and looking for a supplier, your decision will be to pay attention to abutments . They sell high quality dental equipment and materials that have good recommendations and reviews, which are actively used by dentists in their practice.

Foraging Frenzy

I've been so busy since LD that I never got around to posting about our game, but here goes!

We made an action game where you grow plants that have a variety of unique effects and use the fruit from these plants as projectiles to defeat enemies. You can then collect new seeds and further customize your plants.

You can play in a web browser here:

4 Great Jam Games [and in danger!] from Week 3

Less than one day of ratings remains! At this point, I've found even more games that I felt deserve a shoutout for notable achievements. That said, I want to prioritize games that need just a little help over the finish line. How about it? Let's make sure as many people as possible see their ratings and rankings!

(In no particular order.)

Harvest 31 (Web only)

561b4.png

If you like atmospheric narratives, especially ones that nudge you toward the edge of your seat, you really have to play this one. Large teams always deserve respect for coordinating that many hands. Honestly, I think this team of five deserves more ratings -- they just might not have engaged enough to drive traffic!

FARM 64 (Web, Windows, Linux)

56cb2.gif

You may recognize the "Vaguely Damp" crew from past jams. If so, you won't be disappointed with this entry! Pulling nostalgia from the first 3D consoles, but with quirky and unexpected foes, this is a definite fun time. It's an 'Extra' that they posted just recently, so the chances of it meeting the threshold are small ... unless we help!

Evergreen 2 (Windows and Mac)

The team behind this game shows an aptitude for building up a world. Explore your valley while the seasons pass and the landscape changes. While the gameplay isn't as well polished, it's worth stopping by for the inspiration!

Moon 2023 (Web only)

Screenshot 2023-01-26 211651.png

The graphics may be simple, but take this as a callback to early computer games. The tutorial feels like a lot to read at first, but the game is actually pretty intuitive. The backdrop is a compelling mission, and the music sets the scene perfectly--alone on the moon, desperate for your one ticket home. And extra points for using the word "expeditiously"!

Question about Karma and teams

Hi! I have been wondering about this for some time now. If several members of my team scores and reviews same entry, do we still get the karma and rating points for every review?

We have always reviewed different games because we have not been sure if there is a penalty if reviewing the same game. There are such great entries that I think deserve to be played by our whole team but haven't been because of our lack of information about this mechanic.

Games is goood

Hi, many newbies when they go to play online casinos do not understand the game because of this wastes a lot of money and stops playing. To avoid such a thing happening, play at a casino where there is a demo version of the game. That is, you can start by playing the demo version to get a feel for the mechanics of the game and then play for real money. And this will allow you to do the platform https://www.richyfish.co.uk/ .

Extra category - time limit

What's the limit for the extra category? the end of rating, meaning today?

A saucy wrap to another Ludum Dare!

Hey everyone!

Harvey and the team want to say a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who has submitted. Jams are such a fantastic way to challenge yourself, grow and have something you can be proud of at the end of it. And we always have a blast making and playing other's games every single time

I really wanted to write a post mortem for Harveyster as I've seen so many great ones on here, but unfortunately work has gotten in the way

So instead, I'll leave you all with some gifs and a link to the source if anyone is interested how we made anything
(A lot of my other jam's source are there too so feel free to take a gander)

Some pretty assets from our game

We originally planned to release the game for Jam, but ultimately decided that this game deserved a little bit more love before we uploaded it. Here's the link to our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/souls-path

Here are a few of my favourite assets from our game:

Come check out the game, you won't regret it! Don't forget to leave a comment, the feedback means a lot to us. <3 https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/souls-path

Mothman's Forest

HAAA the end of rating is in few hours ! We are not align with this new ludum :(. Please take a look at our game : Mothman's Forest MothMan'sForestemMakeSound/emoptimized.gif

In “Mothman’s Forest,” you play as the mysterious cryptid known as Mothman, wandering through the forest and using your hypnotic powers to harvest gullible travelers who dare to enter your territory.

As you make your way through the game, you must use stealth and cunning to terrify the travelers without being seen. The more scared the travelers are, the easier it will be for you to bend them to your will. Can you become the ultimate master of the forest, or will the travelers find a way to escape your grasp?!

Thank you!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to rate and comment on our game. This is our third jam ever (the other two were GMTK) and the amount of support and feedback has been phenomenal - and so much more than we would have ever expected. We will make sure to use all this feedback for tweaking our game further and, who knows, perhaps you'll stumble onto it again in the future :D.

Also thank you to everyone else who has participated! It was a pleasure to play so many amazing games and I really wish there was an easy way to continue to track those which will be further developed post-jam. Keep up the good work and may we meet again at the next jams!

Still 6 votes to go....

Hey there! With only 5 and a half hours left and still 6 votes to go, I think I wont make it to 20 votes, without posting about my game So if you still have some time to vote in the last few hours, it would be great, if you could give me some feedback. You can play it here: https://mikzam.itch.io/no-harvest or on my ludum dare page

If you want to, I can probably play and rank some of your games aswwell, so just write a quick comment for that

Thank you guys :)

My tile-flipping puzzle game is in the danger zone!

It's my own fault, I meant to spend a few evenings playing others' games, but I never got to it -- so I'm doing it now instead. If you could give my game a play and a rating, that'd be much appreciated! Don't forget to leave a comment with a link to your game, and I'll make sure to return the favour.

I hope everyone had a great jam!
