What can i say. Good game, great graphics and music and got a good story and implemented the theme in a good way.

This game is here more of the way the theme was implemented (and the graphics) but it is still quite fun to play and has similarities with Papers, Please
And now for a shameless promotion of my game ^^
Space TimeX10

All i can say, the name is VERY bad 😛
Any game you think i should play? Have i missed your favorite game? Or perhaps any masterpiece?

This is probably our most successful Ludum Dare to date. We managed to get the game to look and feel exactly how we wanted to, streamed the majority of production, got most of the features we wanted, and even finished early. The only thing I would do differently is take more time to plan things out instead of planning as we go. Overall great jam, and I’m ready to start playing everyone else’s games. 😀
Finally we finished the game… we’re exhausted now but very happy for the results. The bugs flood the last hours and the last screens were so heavy to do… but now we developed our first adventure game. ![]()
I think that the game is a little hard, impossible to win your first try but I know that with perseverance you’ll get an high score. ![]()
I hope you you enjoy it.

Tomorrow i’ll try to do the post-mortem.
I didn`t had a particularly innovative idea for the theme, and build a sidescroll shooter I called “Infinite Loop” that is focusing on a simple risk vs reward mechanic.

“Infinite Loop” – A Steam Punk Sidescroll Shooter
At the start you have 10 seconds to live, and you need to collect orbs to gain more time. But you can´t have more than 10 seconds to live at one point. While you are shooting enemies to increase your score, you always need to keep an eye on your remaining time.
There is one power up which enables you to temporarily deal more damage and a high-score list that shows the 5 highest scores at the end.
You can give it a try here: Play Infinite Loop
Just submitted:

Impetus has lost consciousness and her systems will fail in 10 seconds. Death is inevitable, but it can be delayed.
Sustain Impetus’ life by pressing the button, which will reset the timer. Once it runs out, the game is over and can never be played again.
Switch on the game’s sound in the upper right corner. Feel free to play one of the soundtracks provided on the site along with it.
A game by Dominik Johann (@zerstoerer), Jan Oelze (@JanOelze) and Jeremy Lonien (@Ludonaut), made in a couple of hours.

So, i finally finished my first LD… kinda…
After following LD for years, wanting to participate, but never finding the time, i finally made it. And loved it. It was not how i thought it would be, but i learned a lot.
It was not my first choice, to me it seemed very generic, sth. that you didn’t have to create a game for, just use any game idea you have, and you can adapt it a bit to match the theme, e.g. just apply a time limit. “10 seconds” is more a GAME MECHANIC than a THEME.
Themes like Evil vs. Evil are really a THEME, because it influences the GAMEPLAY and great ideas will emerge. Maybe
As i didn’t want to go the obvious way: “AAAAwesome, we can make a game that, waaaait for iiiiiit, …. lasts 10 seconds and you have to play reeeeeeeal fast, wooooow, duuuuuuude, EXCELLENT!…” i wanted to move in the oposite direction, make it reaaaaally slow. Nothing came to mind, but then i thought about the fact that they always tell us “time is relative”!? So i came up with the idea of calculating the time relative to an external beholder, while the players time goes faster or slower depending on the gravity field the ship is currently in.
The science of this is aaaabsolutely and a huuuundred percent … something… dunno, ask someone else about that ;).
The simple principle i used is: the more gravity, the slower time passes, relative to an external beholder. Exagerate this by several orders of magnitude, threw in some wormholes for good measure to make up lost time, et voilà, you have “10 seconds are an eternity” (please comment btw
).
It was a very interesting experience, i learned a lot and i am very content with the idea i came finally up with (took me 4h).
I am amazed by the beautiful games and designs ppl came up with, i can’t wait for the final scoreboard to see the best of the best. So, lets keep on voting and congratulating each other :)It is a bit sad that i couldn’t finish it 100% in the given time, but i think you will see what i was getting at, and i definately plan to make a post-LD version of it.
Saludos
Lars
p.s.: please comment on my game too

Hello, I was wondering if since i forgot a button to go back out of the about page on my game count as a typo error?
Well, progress is still being made; I have “decent”* graphics, and the levels are starting to be somewhat interesting. I think I’ll have something which is fine enough for the Jam though. Right now, the ninjas are throwing weapons at buttons to cause platforms to move, hitting multiple things with one throw, and kicking up dust when they run. Also, there are 6 (mostly tutorial-ish) levels – all to be completed by the ninjas in 10 seconds or less.
(*many other people would call them “programmer” graphics)
Our game is live, play and vote now!

The last 3 days were crazy, I barely slept and I ate my meals while hugging my keyboard.
I didn’t like the theme that much, from round 1 I begged and hoped that 10 seconds won’t make it… Yet it lived. Maybe that’s the reason why StepOut’s core mechanic (which is 10 seconds of astral projection) is more of an annoyance that you really wish wasn’t there.
The puzzles could have used more work, more play-testing, but time ran fast while other areas of the game begged for attention. Creating assets and arranging them was incredibly fun.
The music was rushed, as well as the overall sound design. But I’m very pleased with the overall look and feel of the game. Even more so considering this is our second finished game (the first one being a molyjam entry that was really, really bad…).
I learned a lot! Loved every second of it.
Next time I’ll aim for something “tighter” (for lack of a better word), something shorter and sweeter; something that can be ironed out completely.
But now… Now I need some sleep.
Down to under 6 hours and finally me and my friend, the partner of the Jam have finally got past some bugs, while I developed a lot of assets, Zelif spent all of his time fixing the networking bugs, with time ticking away we now have to sort out how we send and process our data so we can finally have a game running.
Aiming for the deadline and hoping we can make it, either way this game is getting finished whether late or not.
Watch the final hours of our stream on twitch.tv/theangrybr1t and keep your eyes on zelif.net for the download link
This is our first LD and we were very ambitious, we have tried to work with the theme, which we did not like, so who knows how this will turn out haha!

Just a little post to inform everyone I did what I should have done hours ago : you can now play Hellish Copter on Windows ! Follow the white rabbit to do so.
I’m quite aware of a few bugs that would need fix, but I’m totally not in the mood for this right now, so, meh 😀
Hope everyone has fun with it ! I’m quite happy with the result for my first LD – and my first game in general, actually. Feedback is very welcome
Well, time is running out! But we are still working on Antarctic Glitch, an infinite brawler about a bearded doc, evil government agents and parallel worlds!
And, hey! This is Jeter, the doc from a steampunk parallel universe!

Ok, my game was crashing, and it’s NOT anymore! I’m very happy
Everything because of little memleak… I was creating a Texture for health bar every game loop. Let’s blame it on only few hours of sleep 😉
So if you haven’t played my game yet – I really like you to play it and tell me what do you think. And for those who’ve already played it – I will be more than happy if you give it another try 😀

We just released our Ludum Dare 27 Jam game, it’s called Every 10 Seconds a Window Washer Falls to His Death.
Dom2D and I talked for the first time (and decided to do this jam together) a couple hours before the theme was announced. It was an awesome experience.
We also had the lucky to have the great Ryan Roth making sounds for us. He is a wizard.
The game is 2.6K lines of Haxe/OpenFL/HaxePunk code. On the assets side, we have 2M of graphics, 5M of sounds and 9M of music.
Here are some cool Vines we took from the development: The Birds, Trailer, Jetpack.
Hope you guys enjoy playing it as much as we did making it.
I got started on this list about an hour ago (except the music, which took about 4-5 hours before that). Here’s how it looks so far:
Hoping to get at least to SFX, and the further I get the better. The end is in sight, but the battle is not over yet! 😀
I nearly rage-quitted there…
