LD 38 April 21–24, 2017

I'm in.

I'll be using Unity, MagicaVoxel and Mixcraft. I always start a few hours late, good luck.

This will be my third LD, let's hope I do better this time.

We're in

working with a team remotely for the first time. Should be fun!

I'm in! Are you? (Jam)

Hello, I just wanted to say that I’m in before going to the sleep! I’m going to be livestreaming on twitch (www.twitch.tv/vitoggaming) in ~6 hours! I’m going to be working in Unity with C# (Visual Studio) as well as in Blender and Photoshop. I’m doing the jam so everyone is more than welcome to help me out because I’m doing it alone! This is a new thing to me as it is the first time I'm doing a game jam in my life! I’m sure we’re going to have a great time making the game! (lil note: I’m 14 if it bothers you or something) grinning

I'm in for the nth time.

I don't remember how many times I've participated and I can't be bothered to look it up. However, I've never been this excited for an LD. For the first time ever, I have no other important responsibilities for this weekend. I've finished grading and I don't have any papers or presentations until the next weekend. Time to make a game!

I'll be working with Unity C#. Art will be made with Krita. Sound will be done via some procedural generation and sfxr. I'm planning on staying up most of tonight trying to get the mechanics of my game working before noon on Saturday.

Ready

4th time first time in 8 years. I have food ready for the weekend and am ready to see the theme. PHP Storm, and phaser, audacity for sounds. Work will be done between three different machines depending on where I am , and total of five monitors.

First LD

Good luck everyone! This is my first LD ever, so kind of excited and nervous!

IM IN!

WOOOO! This will be my first Ludum Dare, my first game jam, and (hopefully) my first finished game. Honestly, I just started learning how to make games a few months ago. My goal is to FINISH SOMETHING! I'm excited, nervous, and a bit intimidated. Lessssssgoooooooo!

What the Dare?

Oh, you wanted to know what I was using? I thought https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$16118/dare was good enough!

Okay.

  • Paint.net

  • C#

  • Unity

  • I'll be watching Quill 18

Still not good 'nuff for ya? Want to know what my ideas are? Fine.

  • Dark vs Light: Wizard that can use Dark and Light magic, and is trying to find internal balance

  • Parallel Dimensions: FPS with portals you can go through

  • One Tool, Many Uses: Survival game with a multipurpose tool

  • Everything has a cost: EcoStrat

Happy now?

What? You want to know what I wanted to call my game if Dark vs Light wins?

I'll call it Adrestia, after Greek Mythology.

Happy now?

I'm in... (and I'm so excited)

It's going to be my first Ludum Dare video game I'm gonna make. So soon, can't wait! JBR :)

FL Studio/Sunvox/something else for music. Chronolapse for my timelapse, spotify and noisli for listening. Tiled for map editing. Licecap, OBS and greenshot for progress sharing.

Good luck folks!

I'm joining the jam for the first time, where you at?

After years of thinking about becoming a game developer full time I've decided to join Ludum Dare for the first time! I plan on streaming quite a bit of development with brief breaks. I got a laptop with 1 monitor but I'm determined to get a decent game out for the jam. Good luck everyone! I hope everyone has plenty of fun!
