This is our first ever game jam, and thus our first Ludum Dare. We'd love it if you played our game and gave us a rating and a comment as we need just a few last minute ratings to get a score!! Please help us Senpai you're our only hope 😣
The idea is a visual novel combined with a tower defense. The choices you make in the dialog changes the stats of the towers. The tower defense is a strategic tower defense where you build the maze for the enemies.

Here's a gif from early in development.

Here's a gif even earlier... (It's not a bug, it's a feature!)

Be sure to leave a link to your game so that we can rate and review yours as well! Good job everyone on a successful Ludum Dare, whether you finished your game or not we are all winners here because of the knowledge we all gained from this experience!
Now time to go play and rate some LD41 entries :nerd::joystick:
Just to say thank you to everyone who has tested "snail and salt". I tried to keep counted of a maximune of opinion for creating a Jam post version.
Thank you all!

I'm done rating all of the games belonging to people who've commented and rated mine again, which means I've got more time to rate more!
Rate and comment on Super Slime Slasher Ultra and I'll return the favor!

All the best to everyone for the results. Especially to my 'friends' (I guess I'll call them that if they have no probs xD) @samusoidal and @bluewingtitan - Hope you get great ranks because your games are awesome and you deserve it!
Just wanted to say how awesome this LD was for me. The last one I manage to complete was LD26 (5 years ago!) and I'm so happy I've been able to participate and complete this competition. Also, I loved the theme!
The creation part was a bit of a rollercoaster for me because of my poor C# knowledges but the testing part was just pure pleasure! I'm amazed by the creativity and the talent of the participants. I saw some of the most original games I've played in years!
Last words, I want to say thank you to @pov for his dedication and thank you to the community for its kindness and useful advices!
Hope to see some of your games make it to a full release, and of course to see you guys this august for LD42.
Cheers!
As you all know, participating in the compo also means to share your source code. Whenever I am curious about a certain game and take a look at their code, more often than not I have a hard time understanding what's going on and why, and if something is just a hack for lack of time or a clever implementation I just don't understand.
That's why I thought I make a litte (well) video about my explaining my source code of my LD41 game, "Zoccer", and walk you through line by line:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WscCGxCOwzU
A link to a Windows build and the Game Maker project of the game can all be found on its Compo page.
This has been my very first LDjam that I've participated in, and I must say, it was pretty fun-although also pretty stressful and intense at the same time. I enjoyed it overall though. The theme caught me off-guard, but it's those themes that forces people to become creative, haha. I may try to complete my entry as an actual project later on.
Thank you to everyone who rated my game and I wish you all the best of luck on the end result rankings and future jams!
If you haven't tried my game yet, you can do so right here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/star-shadow-incomplete
If any of you still need some last minute ratings for your game, feel free to post a comment below! I'll take a look at your entries provided there's still enough time left.
As rating wraps up on another Ludum Dare, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who rated Get Baked, so I made a nice word cloud out of the comments we got (using Word Art).

Thank you for your feedback, and good luck to everyone tonight!
I can't believe the game jam is actually ending... 😢
Being my first Ludum Dare I had no idea what the LD community was all about and I was amazed by its talent and good faith . Everyone was super respectful and nice and gave us a lot of valuable feedback. Thank you so much!! 😁
I really loved the theme 2 incompatible genres. That really helped us all think outside the box, which always gives the best results. GOOD THEME! 👏👏
Creating the game was as much fun as the PLAY+RATE GAMES time:
I found dozens of great games and learned a lot just by playing them. 👨🎓
Many comments helped me improve my skills as a game designer and others just made me laugh, while some really made my day. :D
I, too, made a lot of new friends, with whom I will keep in contact via Twitter and.. who knows? ..maybe make games in the future. 😸🎮😸
I wanted to thank the Ludum Dare organization for this amazing opportunity and event, and the community for their unbeliavable talent and solidarity. 👌👌
Can't wait to participate in the next Ludum Darem in August!!!
Hope all your games have great results, but remember that the best result is a beautiful finished game!

See you all in the next one! And thank you all who played Survaby!!!
Always in my heart! <3
Some time I think why we make games for game jam?
There is no prize, there is no reward,
Why we spend those sleepless day & night to make game which gives us no reward?
Why we keep pushing ourself to make game in 2-4 days?
So I wondered how many games can be made from Theme: Combine 2 Incompatible Genres .
Than I see this https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41
3051 games submissions made by 8595 gamers all around the world. in 2-4 day's
Here are my learning from game jam.
You can make game on any topics
Gamers community is very supportive community. everyone is try to help other developers to grow & gives great advice. everyone is care about each others games
Everyone thinks differently. One theme but so many different games can be made from it.
Are video games art? For me YES it's ART
Making games is fun.
blah blah blah .....
That's enough for today. and again Thank you all
A few more ratings would be greatly appreciated!

It is your last chance to play and comment on Cross Word Shooter - the combination of FPS and Scrabble. I am really curious of what do you think and what could be done better in your opinion. Thanks for feedback in advance!
