my 4th or 5th Ludum Lets do this, my guy @OfficialDingbat
I'll be giving godot a try in the jam.
- godot
- blender & gimp
Not sure what I'll be using for audio yet.
I'm in!
This will be my first ever jam! I'll be doing the 72 hour jam to give myself more time to get SOMETHING done. I'm only just starting to feel like an actual novice hobbyist game developer, not just someone who says they're thinking about making games. That being said, I'm still an absolute beginner and at best can say that I kind of know how to use Unity, ish.
I'll obviously be using Unity for my engine, and I'll kludge together my graphics and sound from whatever I can make work over the weekend. Graphics will probably be Unity basic shapes and maybe some Asset Forge stuff if I'm feeling fancy, and I guess I'll try this Reaper thing people keep talking about for sound, if I get that far.
Hello everyone!
I'm Dylan Mahalingam, and I'm teaming up with my friends Mark "kramff" Foster and Andrew "strouticus" Strout to make a game! This is our first Ludum Dare, and we're excited to give it a try.
We'll be using HTML5 to make our game. We're going to figure out the art and music on the fly.
Good luck to everyone, and have fun!
Not sure what we'll use yet, maybe LibGDX (and Netbeans) if it's a 2D game, maybe Unity if it's 3D. Adobe Creative Suite 5.5/4 for art/audio. Blender for any 3D/animation. Version control will be Git with TortoiseGit. Looking forward to this one.
Hey, my first Ludum Dare and going for Compo. Let's have some fun!
Third time, I think :D
Switching away from Unity3D, going to instead be working with LibGDX. If you haven't used it, I would highly recommend that you do! Will use Krita for art stuffs, and will most likely not do any audio. If I do though, I will use LMMS.
You can follow progress on my Twitter
Let's go!
This where I'm doing the LudumDare! Can't wait! battlestations.png
i'm gonna use gamemaker because i'm basic af and may stream it get hype
1 and a half hours to go. Hype!
If you feel like following my progress for whatever reason I'll be posting on Twitter every few hours throughout the jam with screenshots and some juicy progress pics.
I'll also be hosting my code on Github so you can see the actual source code if you so feel like it.
For now you can have a nice pic of my setup:

My goal is to just finish something as I've a lot of drinking, and hangovering to attend to this weekend.
I can't say I'm super excited yet, but I'm in again for this Ludum Dare. I'm sure the excitement will come as I get into it.
My engine of choice right now is Urho3D and I'd like to use it's 3D capabilities this time around. I'm also planning to use AngelScript this time instead of Lua, so we'll see how that goes.
Art should use a combination of Krita and Blender. And music, if I get to it, will be whatever available tools I can get my hands on (Abundant Music is pretty cool if you haven't seen it already).
I look forward to seeing the theme and all the other excellent games that people make. Good luck everyone!
It's been a couple of years but it looks like I'll be able to join this LD!
This time I want to use the Godot Engine (I've tried it out, but not really made anything with it yet).
Some tools I might use: * Graphics / maps: Tile Studio / Tiled / PyxelEdit / Krita / PhotoImpact / GIMP * Sound / music: Nero Wave Editor / NoteWorthy Composer / Audacity
