Emma et le monde des marteaux

A Quick post to say that for my first Ludum Dare I enrolled my two daughters: Lily 7 years old and Clea 10 years old. We had fun creating this little familly game! Clea and Lily did the 2D arts while we shared the designed and I coded everything with Tiny Project in Unity. It is also my first project with Tiny, a perfect occasion to learn ECS, by the Way great Work Unity people, keep on the good work and delever us a fully functional Tiny ECS versio of Unity very soon!

To play it: Emma is a small girly game avatar living in the Hammers' and flowers' world! She has a magic ability: She can give her health to the flowers she loves so much. But beware, Flowers are linked to the hammers sharing their same color! So choose the right ones or loose! Color all the flowers in the level to win (Sorry only one level, it was hard enough to make it so far in so few time!)

Finished!

Play here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/rent-for-life

In “Rent for Life”, you play as Skully McSkull the Reaper (Skully for short) who has not always been the most prompt in paying his bills, but he’s a pretty OK tenant. He takes modest care of his humble shack home in his own corner of Hell, raising his loving canine companion. So when the Landlord of Hell approaches you with threats of eviction, Skully better get back to collecting the local currency: the souls of the living.

This top down 3-D game will send you to the mortal world where you will race against time to collect the souls of the living! A grim responsibility, yes, but your fiery homeland doesn't run on rainbows and kittens. Do your best to keep up your rent payments, or face the wrath of your landlord...

Just a simple game~

Hope you enjoy it~~

Also you can leave yours here for me to try!

Snek Farm

For this Ludum Dare me and a couple of friends made this little snake game:

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/snek-farm

It's a spin on the popular Snake, but with simple farming mechanics you pay for with your own health (length).

There were so many more things we wanted to add: enemies, a high score system, more variation to the graphics, more music... but we didn't have the time. The game is still very solid and actually promising, so we might make a post jam version with all the things we couldn't put in because of time!

I had so much to do over the weekend and could only work so much on it, but I'm happy of how it came out!

Please consider giving it a try and rating it :)

Hey everyone

do try our game lifesacoin(https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/$142178) it is a fps platformer where you health is determined by the number of coins you have as you collect more and more coina you get heavier and hence you wont be able to jump higher you will also face turrets which you can take down by shooting you coins :).hope you guys will enjoy the game:) IMG-20190429-WA0022.jpg

Anyone have VR games to test?

We have an Oculus Rift and would love to play and rate your VR games. Post them in the comments if you're keen :)

Game link is fixed

I had an issue with the itch.io link for some reason, but the links are up and running and should be fine from now on! Enjoy the murderous capitalism!

it is a rhythm game, after all. i actually started this time by making audio first, something i don't think i've ever done in a jam.

Thank you all

Hello everyone and congratulations for this weekend!

It was my first gamejam in a group and... WOW what a great experience, when I talked about it with @zetius we didn't even think we could finish what we wanted to do but we did and this little game, Life of Food was not that easy to realize, both for him who was in charge of the soundtrack and the art style, and for me for integration and development.

Thanks to all those who have already played our game and even more to those who have given us feedback. Among all those received we were able to obtain information that will be very useful for the next gamejam, here are some of them:

  • Do not use software for the first time a few hours before the jam

Indeed, the lack of knowledge of it has caused us to lose LOT of time in unnecessary research. - We should create a briefing of what we really want to do

The final game produced, although we are proud of it, is not the one we wanted at the beginning - Spend more time discussing and talking about the theme and the gameplay that we can do with that theme.

We're going to be honest, there's not much, if any, gameplay in our game - Testing, testing, testing, testing......

A thousand tests is not enough

Finally, a huge BRAVO to all those who have completed the challenge, if your game seems null or incomplete to you it is normal but you can be proud of yourself, you have done it. For those who have not finished it and are disappointed in them, it doesn't matter, thanks to that you can know your limits and you will do better next time!

You are all AWESOME.

This is AWESOME! I LOVE LUDUM DARE

For this edition, I managed to create a fully working gameboy game rom that can still be played on pc and mobile phones thanks to a javascript emulator.

But the awesome @jjjjason managed to put the rom in a real gameboy clone, and I feel so proud and satisfied that my work is now into a console of someone.. I have goosebumps!

Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna spend about thirty hours in the train with little or no Internet. So if anybody has made an Android game, drop a link in comments, I'd review it in a few days.

The Cult of the Morning Star

After many many hours of working on this game me and my friend have now finished it. With only 1 minute before the dealine we managed to hand it in.

The game is a card based game where you control a cult and try to summon demons. Please go check it out if you feel like it.
