Ludum Dare 48

Little Mother is done!

What lies in the deep? Where have they taken your children? What does HE want from you?

Little Mother is a narrative based game about venturing into the bowels of the Earth to shine light on your family's disappearance.

We would appreaciate if you could give it a try!

Little Mother now has normal sound

Sound is a pretty integral part of our game, so when we learned that on some browsers (Chrome or Edge - pretty much anything other than Firefox) it lagged and sounded glitchy, to say the least we were pretty upset. It's a weird godot export problem we can't really do anything about, but now you can download the game to get the full experience.

So if you'd like to give us another chance, that would be much appreciated!

"The Railroad to Elsewhere" released!

ldcover2.png

You find yourself traveling somewhere inside a run-down railroad car. You know you have to get off at some point, but still – you do everything in your power just to stay a little bit longer. The conductor is watching your every step. He knows who you truly are.

Where is this train really headed?

Did you have any last minute additions to your game?

We almost had to cut Mr. Troyt, the fish-man from the game. But in the last few hours we managed to get a part of him in! Would've broke my heart if he was left out.

We just released Bygone Melodies!

screenshot4.jpg

Can you still remember them?

As I was sitting on my favorite bench one day, something curious happened. The clock on the townhall suddenly stopped dead in its track. However unusual that was, I had some time think about the past. My adventures and misadventures - they all came alive before my eyes like it happened yesterday.

Back in those days - me and my guitar were the greatest friends.

What happened to us?

Try the game out HERE! :)

Behind the scenes from Bygone Melodies

Here are some behind the scenes graphical stuff from Bygone Melodies!

gra2.png

Usually I like making detailed sketches of stuff, but as time was marching forward relentlessly, I made some really fast, but unfortunate looking speed-sketches for the game.

graf2.png

I think I had the most fun with creating these little frame-by-frame detail animations for the the various levels. I had loads more ideas, but I had to restrain myself here too!

Less fun part was this cover art which I made ~30 minutes before the final final deadline. Yes, I managed to misspell the name of the game. (We even considered changing the name after this haha)

If you haven't done before, give Bygone Melodies a try! :)
