First time participating

Hello everyone, it's my first time participating after watching countless livestreams other people participating.

I will be using Html, css and javascript with libraries for my game with Sublime Text and Paint.NEt or GiMP 2 for the art.

Just to see if I understand this correctly, now that I can post all I have to do is wait for the theme to be announced and I can start programming right? And once the time is out, once the time is up, I just update the 'My Game' page with the details and the links to my hosting?

Thank you for the help. And I wish everyone good luck, let's have fun and make amazing games :D

Just started

I finally managed to lock down on an idea.

So basically, you are an alien whose job is to clean the earth of trash. The more trash you have the less human population. However, the less trash there is, more humans can live on the planet but in turn generate more trash.

The goal is to get as much trash cleaned from Earth, in 20 turns or so (haven't decided yet on the number).

It will be turn based, and each turn you have a number of action points to use abilities and upgrade points to upgrade those abilities.

Will be using p5.js for the canvas, and all the buttons and menus will be HTML. Was thinking whether I should use Angular.js and node.js as well.

Idea

I know it may be a bit late for this, but i wanted to share this video. It is a really nice interpretation of the theme. Maybe it inspires someone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brmjWYQi2UM

I quit

Unfortunately, my implementation of the idea turned out wrong. Basically, it's shit. I will try to be more prepared next time. Good luck to everyone.

Will be particitpating in the Jam by myself, trying to folow compo rules as much as possible, using Unity.

Unfortunately I'll only be able to start Saturday morning, with the 2AM start in the UK, but should be plenty of time.

Good luck to everyone, and have fun!

Second LD in a row!

This will be my second LD jam in a row.

I will be doing the jam again. Still using Unity Blender and any adjacent software.

I do have a question regarding the use of AI generated content. I've not seen anything in the rules specifically forbidding it. Is it the case that if, for example I use AI to generate some of the graphics, I'll just have to opt out of the artwork category?

Good luck to everyone! Fingers crossed for a nice theme!

I am finished!

I have managed to finish another game for my second LDJam in row!

I present Squabble Snooker.

Squabble Snooker

There are some bugs and issues having to do with the UI and restarting the game. However I do not have the energy anymore tonight.

I wish everyone good luck and i'll get back to playing games tomorrow. for today I need a screen break.

Squabble Snooker

A new entry to the FPS genre (First Person Snooker). The squabbles don't really know how to play a game of snooker but have invited you nonetheless, mostly to stand there looking confused at you. Pick up the exercise ball and just pushe them around for a few mins.
