I’m in!
I am a LD virgin, here to pop my cherry.
I will more than likely be using Game Maker, Gimp, sfxr and Reason, be gentle with me.

A lonely boy decides to end his life and finds himself in Purgatory.

Aiming for the comp’ but using the jam as a fail buffer. GLA.
I’m in! This will be my third LD. One finish, one fail.
Likely use game maker, gimp and sfxr. . or maybe something with photos.
:S
This will be my 4th LD, a finish this time would bring my win/fail ratio to 50/50
I will likely be using:
Game Maker,
Gimp/ PyxelEdit,
SFXR and Reason.
This jam will also offer me a little and much needed break from my new life as a Dad.

I’m in, for my 5th LD! My previous attempts have been met with failure, the one time I managed to finish, I failed to upload the game
But not all is lost, for even a failed jam leaves behind the shell of a good idea, one that can be picked up and finished.
This time around I will be teaming up with a few friends, we intend to do a bit of a pub jam. (Matlock UK, all welcome)
Tools:
Game maker
Gimp
PyxelEdit (I will buy this when it gets released, awesome tool)
SFXR
Inkscape
20 hours with no ideas, concepts where a turtle talks to a crow and then finally managed to pin an idea down.
NeX: the colorful shooter that could cause seizures.

What a great opportunity and source of motivation, LD October Challenge. I decided Drones, a game I’ve been working on since May would be a prime candidate.

Drones: Blast Arenas, is kind of like my personal love letter to the Robotron series, particularly Robotron X on the PSX. There have been many clones and carbon copies of the infamous twin stick shooter over the years, so I tried to differ in my endeavour. I wanted to recreate the feelings I got as a young boy, the challenge and subsequent self achievement from beating a level, the game feel, the manic fast pace of it all and the up-tempo throbbing music.
So what can you expect from Drones.. ? check out this itch.io page to find out more http://blunt.itch.io/drones-blast-arenas

I’m in, again.
I usually start by watching Seth’s keynote video, imo the best get hyped for LD keynote.
Then ready my tools, GameMaker, Gimp and Reason.
And my supplies, coffee, water and munchies.
then sit and wait for the theme.
